Turning point

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I genuinely believe that we can do this too! Yes that is both Augie and me!

The reation from the players was spot on and it does appear to be a huge us against the world spirit.

Seeing Sol going mad when Tommy scored was superb!

Re the huddle, and maybe I am being picky here, but did theo's participation in the huddle piss anybody else off ? Cesc got the players into a huddle to bring them together and maybe fire them up and here was this injury prone midget jumping up and down smiling and laughing - the whole purpose of the huddle was to fire you guys up, not to have a laugh-a-thon you clown

Theo just seemed really excited... perhaps he knows we're going to win the league too?

I couldn't understand Theo's introduction, stoke were sitting so deep, thus there was little chance of Theo being able to use his pace to get in behind them, and frankly once agian he offered absolutely nothing.

Yes, you are being picky!!!  For fucks sake augie, he's an Arsenal player who was on the pitch with the rest of the team and did what everyone else did - celebrate an Arsenal victory. Whether you think he deserves to be there or not based on his ability shouldn't even come in to it!! I can just imagine what would have been written if he hadn't taken part - he'd have probably called a big time charlie!!!

I know you have become infamous for your opinions on Arsenal - and in fairness a lot of your points do have some validity. However, I really think you've missed the target with this one augie. To knock a player for celebrating with their team-mates is the equivalent of 'jumping the shark', and runs the risk of lessening the impact of your better thought out and more valid complaints.

I think it's a three horse race and we're in the drivers seat. The boys look like they know what's at stake and believe in themselves. It was a beautiful scene after the game and hope they stay that close. Let's win this fucking thing! 8) :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Augie, sorry but that was a bit ott. I think he was just as happy to win the game under the circumstances and was having a good time. Everybody had a smile on their face and he had the same. Well played Theo 8)

Fair enough if I am being picky I will hold my hands up but it wasnt meant as a personal attack on walcott per se - imo the huddle was about installing a bit of fire and not a celebration as I believe cesc was rallying the troops after what had happened to ramsey more than cos we had won the match. Personally I would preferred to see a look of determination and anger on theo's face in light of what happened to ramsey but hey, I am old school and look for old school reactions

But isn't Theo also 'one of the troops'? :? And I don't remember seeing too many other 'angry faces' amongst the players in the huddle - unlike when the incident happened. That''s not what it was all about.

I think we are. If we keep winning the pressure moves towards the chavs and mancs. One game at a time 8)
