Time to give Eboue some credit

Wasn't Adebayor like this? I want a player who is passionate about the club, and likes the fans, and not a grumpy player that fucks off to another club for a bit more money.DB10GOONER wrote:I agree with what Radford said (and I find a small amount of vomit comes up when I write this) I couldn't give a flying fuck if he comes over to the travelling fans. I'd rather a stroppy crunt that gets the job done and pisses off down the tunnel than an idiot that kisses the fans' arses.

Correct - its a shame that credit isnt attributed as quickly as critcism is. I want players that love the club, give 100% in the shirt and perform - Eboue is doing all of these things. Ive always like Eboue, and im glad he is doing so well at present.treygoony wrote:Wasn't Adebayor like this? can't remember any arsenal player EVER with so many chants
I've heard :
Eeeemanuel Eboue (the7nation army one)
you only came to see Eboue
I like eboue boue (I like to move it)
he come from africa
he's better than kaka
four bloody chants - I reckon he's def getting credit
sagna and nasri hardly have their names sung at all
nor did gilberto or hleb
denilson might be on terrible form but he was decent last year, has scored a few and we still don't have a chant
even we've got cesc fabregas is pretty weak - still havent replaced the only 17 chant

it's because he was giving away the ball so cheaply and wasting chances in the final thirdjtvercetti27 wrote:I really can't understand why everyone gave him stick in the first place. well thats football fans for you. a fickle bunch
he has regained his confidence though and it's great to see, especially since he is such a fun character in the team and seems to know how to give the other players a boost whether it's on the pitch or just a smile or laugh in the dressing room.

I don't know why we don't sing the 'Oh Cesc Fabregas you are the love of my life' chant more often, much better than we've got Cesc Fabregas. We really need to be more imaginative than chanting a players name or Super WhoeverhighburyJD wrote: even we've got cesc fabregas is pretty weak - still havent replaced the only 17 chant

Made this suggestion before.
To the old 'Ian Wright, My Lord' melody:
We've got Cesc, my Lord
We've got Cesc,
We've got Cesc, my Lord
We've got Cesc,
We've got Cesc, my Lord
We've got Cesc,
Oh Lord, we've got Cesc.
We can even extended it by having the following:
Fab-re-gas, my Lord
Fab-re-gas,
Fab-re-gas, my Lord
Fab-re-gas,
Fab-re-gas, my Lord
Fab-re-gas,
Oh Lord, Fab-re-gas.
Simple to learn and remember; easy to sing and it's befitting that another great player inherits the tune.
