Is there anybody out there who still believes?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I believe we have done well to hang in this long, but having nearly had a heart-attack in the last 6 matches...

Liverpool - late goal and late Scally cheat drama
Sunderland - injury time goal needed to seal win
Stoke - injury time winner(s)
Burnley - injury time goal needed to seal win
Hull - injury time winner
West Ham - late goal to seal win

...a result like today was waiting to happen.

I don't think we will win at SHL and Citeh will be a handful, oh and Blackburn will kick lumps out of us and Wolves won't be easy on the run they are on and in between Barca, and Wigan have come up with some surprise results....we shoud beat Fulham though!

I can't see United dropping many more points, but Chelsea have tough away matches left...so I think it will end as it stands now.

But let's get behind the boys, cos this is the season where anything is possible.

If we could of beaten chelsea and united just once each it would be a different story.
But with almunia in the team its nigh on impossible another schoolboy fuck up today
Maybe now wenger will realise spend some money on a goalie that can at least catch a ball.
What makes me even madder that man for man man united are actually shite and chelsea are just a bunch of fucking pensioners the difference is they know how to win where as we dont!

Yep, we've made very hard work of almost every game since the 2-2 with Everton which is worrying.

Unfortunately I can see us dropping points against spuds & citeh, and Wolves next week is no dead cert - they're much improved in recent weeks, especially away. Fulham alway give us a game too.

Had utd and/or chavs dropped points today we may have still had a shot. Although it's not impossible, it looks pretty unlikely now :(

Today's baffling selection was made even more laughable by the fact that manure started with their strongest possible squad and then looked to bring players off to rest for the CL when the result was sealed. We rested players from the start, with the CL in mind and only brought them on when we were struggling :(

Thats the difference between Ferguson and Wenger though, although Ferguson is a *word censored* he knows what to do and how to win, Wenger is known as the nearly man, and if anybody thinks we are going to win anything this season needs to think again

Who genuinely thinks we will still win the title?
It's not over, but it's now highly unlikely. We need to win all 6 games, and even then I'm not sure it'll be enough.

It's never easy to take disappointments like today, but when players are being rested for a prioritised glamour match, it's even more difficult to accept. That may not hve been the defining reason we dropped points today, but if you don't play your strongest team, you're always left with what if's.

Hopefully we'll learn from this, treat EVERY game as the priority, and play every game like a cup final.
What team would you have started with ? I'm wondering ?

The strongest XI possible - as we would have done against ManUre, Chelsea, Barca, etc.

That's all.

I can't argue with the performance, because players have off days, which is a fact of life, but I just think we should have given oursleves the best possible chance of victory by starting with our bext XI - which we didn't do today, as the team selection on Wednesday will prove.

I don't think that's being over critical or over the top - I'm just surprised by Wenger's decision.

I still believe that it is possible, it looks like a long shot but it is not beyond the bounds of reason, a win for us next week and a draw between the top two will leave us in good shape.
Todays result although dissapointing was not bad, the fashion of the draw was the worst part, shit goalkeeping has hurt us all season , i mean did we really think we stop suffering from it at this late stage?.
The problem is that we are operating without a safety net at this point of the season and it is down to piss poor results against the top two, not due to dropping two points at Birmingham.
We can afford no more mistakes and we will then see where that leaves us.

I don't claim to be an expert at footy....but I will say I'm a rosetinter.
We didn't play well at all..........maybe 2008 still played in our minds.

BUT.........after we scored, we had a free kick almost on there penalty area..we had three players forward....ffs we don't know how to defend a 1-0 lead.....should have tried to kill the game off there.

not to make excuses but I think Howard Webb is a crunt......it's like flavor of the month just to book Song for his first bad tackle.........and then let brum (especially bowyer) kick the shit out of us.

I HATE YOU HOWARD WEBB YOU CRUNT!!!!!
