It might well have been. I would have been 15 and went with my Spuds mates. We were in the Shelf and I remember joining in with the gooners singing, not fully appreciating that I was probably on my tod.... In those days I felt quite comfortable at WHL as I knew a lot of them. Thinking about it, maybe I can claim to have taken the Shelf.....ebb the red wrote:feck me , my Dad took me to that !!! 2-2 , was it Boxing day ?

Haha, my first game was in 1994, am only 24 but my brother says there was a game around 1988 after the David Pleat being a kerb crawler came out and a load of gooners apparently were on the shelf that day.MK Gould wrote:You must be really talking old days.....my first Spurs away was the 2-2 draw in 1976 (ish) and I can't recall us taking the Shelf since then. How far you going back...?This Is The Daybreak wrote:Let a load of gooners buy them and take the shelf, like the old days!
