scum vs arsenal on general sale

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

You must be really talking old days.....my first Spurs away was the 2-2 draw in 1976 (ish) and I can't recall us taking the Shelf since then. How far you going back...?

Got a link, Paul?

I just had a look. It's showing both matches as sold out.

It might well have been. I would have been 15 and went with my Spuds mates. We were in the Shelf and I remember joining in with the gooners singing, not fully appreciating that I was probably on my tod.... In those days I felt quite comfortable at WHL as I knew a lot of them. Thinking about it, maybe I can claim to have taken the Shelf..... :barscarf: !

Haha, my first game was in 1994, am only 24 but my brother says there was a game around 1988 after the David Pleat being a kerb crawler came out and a load of gooners apparently were on the shelf that day.
