stats are one thing but game by game tells a diffrent story
howard pleb booked song for a nothing foul on 16 mins, his first of the game (playing out of position at center back because...) he then books clichy 9 mins later for nothing - then refuses to show a card for a plethora of fouls some synical and some nasty until the 75th minute and rules off a valid goal in that time (and later gives the offside eq goal)
even if he is not bent he certainly had a massive infulence on us not getting 3 points
put it this way: if you had paid him to fix the match you really could not argue for your money back

This is maddening to me.
Why do people shy away from saying this more openly? Pundits I mean. (Simply because someone on TV or writing in a major newspaper will have way more impact than someone ranting on a message board)
I mean you shouldnt have to accuse someone of being bribed without proof. But you can certainly question some visibly odd decisions. Webb waiting so long to blow his whistle for Diaby's goal, the crazy yellow cards for a nothing challenges that teams like Birmingham or Hull could carry out all day without being carded.
The only time I've seen this is on MOTD after the Lpool-vs-Manu game when he gave a penalty for Mascherano's foul on Valencia. They showed a few past questionable decisions by Webb and although they didnt say it, they seemed to imply that he was biased against Liverpool or biased for ManU
Also, why don't newspapers tail these guys? I mean they go to such great lengths for a 'scoop' on the royals. But can you imagine how many newspapers they could sell if they had a recorded conversation between Webb and an 'unknown benefactor' discussing goals or decisions or something?
