I used really like him but since the World Cup, he just hasn't been the same. Maybe he got brain-damage in this incident (happened in the World Cup when he scored):

IT'S A PITY BECAUSE HE SHOWED A LOT OF PROMISE A COUPLE OF YEARS BACK, BUT HAS NOT PROGRESSED.

I REALLY LIKE BIG PHILL - PARTLY BECAUSE HE IS A FAN OF THE CLUB - AND WANT HIM TO MAKE IT AT ARSENAL. HOWEVER, HE LACKS TOO MANY OF THE BASIC SKILLS REQUIRED TO MAKE IT AT THE VERY HIGHEST LEVEL.

NAMELY:

A LACK OF PACE;
LAPSES OF CONCENTRATION;
LACK OF ANTICIPATION;
HAS POOR DISTRIBUTION OF THE BALL;
AND FOR SUCH A BIG LAD, HE DOESN'T JUMP HIS HEIGHT AND OFTEN WAITS FOR THE BALL TO COME DOWN ONTO HIS HEAD.

SENDEROS IS A FIGHTER AND DOES HAVE A BIG HEART, BUT THERE ARE NOW TOO MANY FAULTS IN HIS MAKE-UP TO BE CONSIDERED A TOP PLAYER. I'M SORRY TO SAY THAT HE JUST ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH TO HELP ARSENAL ACHIEVE THEIR GOALS. WE NEED TO FIND A REPLACEMENT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

I thought he had promise when he first arrived, but as I've seen more of him....

I even thought that at the World Cup he was starting to play decently for Switzerland. But....

As you all say, a replacement would be nice, especially if it were a solid relacement (i.e proven defender in strong leagues).

Wishlist anyone?

He was an absolute disgrace tonight. He looked intimidated from the get go and poor ol Kolo and Armand practically carried the whole defense all night. The boys in the stands were far from impressed and i dont blame them. Im a tolerant man but im sick of hearing excuses for poor after poor performances which are barely fit for the Championship

You are bang on there Hlebby!! It is a real shame because he is not a diver, or an actor like F*ckface Eboue, and his heart is in the right place, and he loves the club, but he is just NOT good enough for that level.

A real shame.

Scary thing is; in January when Kolo's gone and Gallas has picked up his usual winter injury, who is Arsene going to play? I'll bet my bollix right now it'll be Swiss Tony...

arsene's master plan of sending jd to brum means hopefully that come jan he will be our centre half com jan,, and knowing he has plenty of games under his belt,,
but knowing wenger then it will be phil

as said earlier phil seems a nice guy and does have feeling for the club but he's just not good enough and for all his early promise , just didnt progress enough to play for a top team battling for titles

Comes back from injury, is rusty, not a surprise he doesn't perform well. He is good when he gets a run of games but liable to make an error when it is an off start, let alone when coming back from injury. Was poor last night, not the worst player in my view but he was poor, problem is he isn't good enough yet to get a run in the side that he needs as Gallas and Toure are ahead of him. Either Arsene plans to have him take over from Gallas one day or he should sell him, good defender when he gets a run in the side
