I'm talking about next season, not past seasons, so memory doesn't come into it. We can spout off all we want from our armchairs, but none of us know for sure what will happen in the summer. Past summers' transfer-dealings have no bearing on this summer's. It is still *possible* that we will strengthen heavily - we just don't know. And as someone pointed out the other day, you very rarely know much about an Arsenal transfer until the player's pictured in the papers wearing the shirt.
I'm as pissed off as anyone(*), but I would imagine Wenger is pretty pissed off too, let's see how possibly the most patient manager in the league reacts to this embarrassment. I'll be amazed if we don't see a relatively large turnover this time. The camel's back is broken.
(*) Just because I don't rant doesn't mean I'm not annoyed. Then again, I can always draw the line between sport and "real life". I don't know if any result has ever annoyed me for the long-term. Our rivals only benefit from our downfall if we let it hurt us. Sympathies go to the Gooners who were there today, for once I'm pleased to be an ex-pat.

I have semi-been able to understand why Wenger hasn't strengthened that much in past seasons (assuming the finances were there). I love this club so much, i want it to do well more than anything, but abandoning them and slagging them off isn't the way to behave.
We need a goalkeeper that can play in goal and two centre halves though or we will fall short again
fair enough, we challenged in what has to be the worst title fight in years, united and chelsea as the main challengers, have lost more games and dropped more points that any teams that i can remember, if either had performed like we did in 04 we would be miles behind.
It is no great success coming in third (i hope) behind these two

I am a firm believer in writing into the club.
Not that everyone would get a reply, but if thousands of protest letters come in from members, who include genuine membership numbers and addresses, then the club have to notice.
A protest outside the Directors entrance would be valuable too, if there were proper chants and banners so that the media could film and photograph it.
I would like to make a request to anyone and everyone going to the Fulham game, even though I am still hoping to get a ticket for the Fulham game.....one of the things I want(ed) to do was hold up a Placard (one of them folding ones you can sneak in) for After the Game...for the TV Camera's, AW and the Board simply saying:

if you were to rate our players in terms of ability importance and injury free playing to full potential many would not argue that the top six in no particular order would be fab, rvp, arse shavings, verminator, willie and song.
we have recently been without all six and all at the same time. i genuinely believed a few weeks ago we had real chance ofwinning league but would have considered it impossible had i known all six would be out.
i am not sure any team any manager could cope with arguably the best six players being out and all at the same time

And even though he's very clear on not playing players who are not 100%, he gambled with gallas, fabregas and arshavin against barcelona.
