This maybe true, but we still need to watch our back..........

As Wenger has said a thousand times, he won't spend money that he doesnt have on players that arent better than the ones we currently have. We dont have the power or the funds to go out and buy any player under the sun. AW's recent record of value for money is better than most. Look at Man City, for example, buying Arsenal rejects for inflated sums, who they are likely to either sell a year later, or stick them on the bench dreaming about their days in red! I hope that Wenger buys this summer, but ONLY because any purchase that IS made is likely to be a good one!goonersid wrote:I'm not saying they will be bigger than Arsenal, but if Wenger sits on his hands again this summer, then it's only a matter of time until they finish above us in the league.

You really are lost on here, and should consider a career in satire.

It's not a case of them being near us, they would only have to finish above us a couple of times, and what we have achieved in the past will be history. I don't think it is unrealistic given the current contrasting investment in players between the 2 clubs, that they could indeed overtake us in the lge.rigsby wrote:For me to consider spurs anywhere near us they would have to finish in the top 4 for more than one year. Everton finished fourth remember, thats the easy part. Staying there is the hard bit
