My uncle (chelsea ST holder) was telling me about this...

Cant remember the full story, something to do with a european away day and from then on they threw celery about...

Celery is now actually banned from Stamford Bridge to stop it being lobbed at players

If you went to Chelsea in 80's you used to see lots of celery being chucked around on the Shed.

I heard they have celery because once they had a fat keeper so they chucked celery at him becuase you burn more calories eating celery than there is in a stick of celery.
