As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Bet when Brady left peeps thought we'd be even worse off without him too...
Yes we'll find it hard to adjust to life without Cesc (when he goes) but, do you seriously believe we'll never compete for another title again?
Some peeps are being COMPLETELY irrational about this. Whether we do it with Wenger the current board or another manager or a new owner we will back back to the summit.
In the meantime we have to accept we're not able to compete with the success of others and whilst the status quo remains some of our better players will eventually want to win things elsewhere.

Is that realism with a hint of sarcasm is sense from your post? The darkside is looming and its taking the possible exit of one of our few quality players to get you there.
The point is we built some thing very special from 1998-2005 and were told we had to break it up to build something at least as special or moreso even and its beginning to look like we have been misled to say the least, and the realisation that we gave up so much for so little in return is why this is so upsetting. You don't get to build what we built from 1998-2005 too often and so we shouldn't be so willing to toss it aside as we were because we trusted the people who promised something even better. I think now people are beginning to realise just how hollow that promise really was.
If we go back to winning the League once every decade or so then why did we actually build the new stadium?

A sad fact of life, i'm afraid.
We may compete for the title again, but it will take Wenger leaving and years and years of re-building before we get to that stage IMO. So, more exciting "transitional" seasons to come yet.
I think we all knew that he was going to join them eventually, but not this soon. I think what frustrates most of us is that we won't have his best years, and in my opinion, if we had players of quality similar to his around him and winning trophies right now, he'd happily stay at least till the end of his contract.
Is going back to winning the League every 10 or 20 years instead of every two or three or four an acceoatbale retun on the the trust we placed in the club when they decided we had to leave Highbury? Yes or no.

For what the fans pay it is not acceptable. As I said whether it takes a new boss or/and new owners the club is still bigger than any one individual.
This is something some peeps need to get beyond.
It is not a bombshell.
We aren't about to drop off the face of the earth.

Jheeeez.
I think had you stopped at the first l;ine we'd fully agree.
I think you can still be 100% behind and still express dissatisfaction and anger at the state of affairs

When brady left we went another 8 or 9 fcuking years without winning diddly fcuking squat so I am not sure how that points backs up your arguement
