He isnt fit to lace the boots of either of them and we are not comparing him to absolute legends of the game there are we ? He needs to be dispensed of asap
Spot on. This thing people have of defending Diaby by infering that he is only poor
because of the Vieira comparisons is just rubbish. I've never likened him to Vieira, thay are nothing alike apart from the fact they are both tall, black and play in midfield.
Diaby is poor because he is poor, end of.
As I say he has his moments of genius but for fucks sake I have my moments of genius (we all do) on a 5 a side pitch or playing Sunday league - that doesn't entitle me to play for Arsenal in the PL.
Consistency is vital at that level and he has never shown any.
Another thing that gets on my tits is this thing alot of Gooners use to defend Walcott, Diaby, Denilson etc of saying "Well, they are still learning, thay are developing..."
The problem there is they SHOULD NOT BE LEARNING THEIR BASIC TRADE IN THE FIRST TEAM enmasse. They should learn in the youth team, then the reserves and then take what they have learned into the first team where they can improve on it and tweek it to perfection with regular games and by playing with senior, experienced players. They should be as near to the finished article as possible BEFORE they start playing in the first team. Sure you can take a chance on introducing one young inexperienced diamond in the rough (like Rooney at Everton or Cesc with us - they were exeptional talents) but you simply cannot carry 5 or 6 or 7 players like that all at once.
This thing Wenger has of playing too many players that are too raw, too young and patently not up to PL level, relying on potential to see them through, is madness.
