2010/11 Fixtures
2010/11 Fixtures
From Redaction:
Without wishing to sound like tabloid journalists, our 'source' has
let us in on a secret regarding our opening day fixture ; We are told
that Arsenal start away to Liverpool on the first day of the new
Premier League season.
The full fixture list is released officially on Thursday morning, so I
guess we will find out for certain then.
Seem to remember lots of hype about us starting away at West Ham last season, time will tell I guess.

Liverpool v Arsenal at Anfield looks doubtful, I reckon.

But given how close Anfield & Goodison are to each other it seems a bit strange that some local festival would mean Liverpool couldn't play at home that weekend but Everton can.g88ner wrote:Thought that was vaguely interesting, so I had a quick look...Unbelievable Belief wrote:I seem to remember reading somewhere that due to some local festival Liverpool always start away from home.

6 opening day away games in a row can't be a coincidence, though? - and maybe the run of away games goes back much further than that... I just couldn't be arsed checking

Maybe the festival is held inside or directly around Anfield...Its Up 4 Grabs Now wrote:But given how close Anfield & Goodison are to each other it seems a bit strange that some local festival would mean Liverpool couldn't play at home that weekend but Everton can.g88ner wrote:Thought that was vaguely interesting, so I had a quick look...Unbelievable Belief wrote:I seem to remember reading somewhere that due to some local festival Liverpool always start away from home.

Nah the tow gorunds are virtually next to each other, plus the opening weekend of the season has changed over the past few years so it can't always be the same weekend as a festival. It just appears to be a coincidence of the fixture computerUSMartin wrote:Maybe the festival is held inside or directly around Anfield...Its Up 4 Grabs Now wrote:But given how close Anfield & Goodison are to each other it seems a bit strange that some local festival would mean Liverpool couldn't play at home that weekend but Everton can.g88ner wrote:Thought that was vaguely interesting, so I had a quick look...Unbelievable Belief wrote:I seem to remember reading somewhere that due to some local festival Liverpool always start away from home.
