He was the best finisher I've seen at Arsenal since Ian Wright. Never ever seemed to fluff a one on one and was capable of great goals (vs Sheffield United in the Carling Cup).

As has been said Eddie hasn't been the same since Taylor the thug smashed his ankle in half.Would love for him to stay another season as last season was a write off because of the niggling injuries that are asociated with a comback of his sort, saying that,if we were to go off and get a class finished article of a striker as a replacement it would most definitely soften the blow but I won't hold my breath on that one.

Eduardo, according to information from the Ukraine, so a year earned 2.5 million euros. On Monday morning, Dudu will do a medical examination and then sign a contract
Eduardo Da Silva on Monday in Donetsk will undergo a medical examination and then sign a contract with Shakhtar. On the transfer of Arsenal will collect between six and seven million euros, confirmed by a domestic source with excellent views to the football game market. ukrainian media speculating that the magnate Rinat Ahmetovi earning around 2.5 million euros per season.

Thus concluded a two-year player who plays in the Premier League was greeted as the 'next big thing', a new spectacular Wenger purchase, to three years later, London was seen off as the 'English Patient'.After the tragic fibula fracture in February 2008.The Eduardo struggled endless therapies and unsuccessful returns to the lawn. The foot has recovered from an open fracture, but in the meantime, Dudu began magnetically attract all the power of small injuries.... last boxes, abdomen, back pain, and opercija ankle in the famous Amsterdam orthopedist Dr. Van Dyke ...

Whenever he welcomed the opportunity to perform Eduardo would be bothered to leave a trace. . It is not totally neglected golgeterske habits, and scored some sensational goals for the 'Gunners' fifth volleys like that in a duel with Blackburn - the Copacabana and mastery goal to finish seventh in the eternal scale Arsenal top goals - but with great difficulty catching the continuity .Arsene Wenger is expected that Croatia hopes to find his rhythm after the complete preparation of the summer, but this has not happened.repeatedly injured and trust eventually disappeared.

Wenger during June and July of diplomatic vocabulary glancao rating our attackers, the press was assured that the account of Eduardo next season, although behind the scenes opened the bidding for his services. Attacking the cards are in the camp 'gunners' from the beginning were very clearly divided. Van Persie enjoys the status of a small god, Bendtner grows into class players, arrived Chamakh, the hierarchy is in front of our players Arshavin, while Walcott and Vela are younger and more potent.Pack storage is logical move.

Then the game shyly joined Valencia as well as Aston Villa, then appeared on the horizon CSKA Moscow, and during launch preparations Dinamlovih Austrian news is that Eduardo is able to settle down in the Olympiacos.

absolutely hilarious translation.
wish denilson"bothered to leave a trace" when he welcomes the oppertunity to perform

I think so. Wenger is publicly saying he will sign another keeper... can't see almunia happily taking a spot on the bench.

If true - I can only echo much of what has been said here. Its an awful shame what happened to him and that he never had a real chance to show how good he could or would have been in time before that.

I just hope he can return to enjoying the game as he did before what happened. If he can return to playing it at the level it will be a wonderful bonus for him. Best of luck Eduardo - we will remember you with great affection and admiriration! :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Hard to take this too seriously at present. Whilst I'm not denying that it may well happen, there aren't any credible sources to back-up this claim at time of writing.

Also, it'd be odd for Wenger to make these comments the other day, as reported by ESPN: "Eduardo is an Arsenal player and I am expecting a lot from him this season. I think his workrate is fantastic and his determination, which is exceptional, will be of great use to Arsenal."

Unless he's simply playing mind games to boost his leaving fee, of course, but he's been relatively up-front about the destiny of our other players.

I like him, but I am glad he´s off.
I want Arsenal to be succesful, but this club is not a sanatorium.
While hanging on to players like Almunia, Denilson, Flappy, ... is enough charity.

Looked the business before the injury. Clearly not the same player when he came back. Good luck.

I'm assuming Al's absence is for similar reasons. If this is the case there has to be a QUALITY replacement lined up. We can kiss the season goodbye otherwise.

Up front I can't see any new signings. I think AW has settled on RVP, Chamakh, Bendtner and Vela. This is the season Vela has to pull the finger out. A couple of decent Carling Cup performances aren't enough and they were two seasons ago. Piss poor in the world cup too. Smacks of a guy who has got a big contract and thinks he's hit the big time.

It's a shame to see him go..

He's the kind of player that always plays with his heart on his sleeve. Seem to be a good person as well, very balanced and modest.

He couldn't find his form last season, and you cam understand the decision of the club (if true!) to let him go, let's hope we invest this money in a GK..

Thanks for all you contribution to the club Dudu, wish you the best of luck mate! :barscarf:

If we are running our team and team-bilding on such a nakedly budget-driven basis I would very concerned to say the least.

The answer isn't to spend like drunken sailors, but there is a huge middle ground between what we appear to be doing and we we have done in the past nevermind what we could do now and venturing into that ground might not be the worst thing we could possibly do

He was the best finisher I've seen at Arsenal since Ian Wright. Never ever seemed to fluff a one on one and was capable of great goals (vs Sheffield United in the Carling Cup).
I'm with Rebel on this.

I was rather underwhelmed with Eduardo before his injury, and after his injury his reputation went through the roof! :?

Yes, his finishing was superb (like Fowler) but he was often played out wide and his goalscoring record in his first season (7gls in 23 CL and Premier League games) was ok, but no more than that.

His injury came at a time when I think we were all hoping he would kick on, but in reality it never really happened for him before or after that thug broke his leg.

It's great that he's made it back, and I think there's a cracking striker in there somewhere... but we've only ever seen glimpses of that, and built the rest up in our mind, I'm afraid.

Sad to see him go, but quite frankly he was a waste of space last season.

Strange im with Digger on this one. i thought he looked class before the injury almost always hit the terget when shooting and his goals to game ratio was good considering he was still settling into a new league and a much more physical one at that too.

The injury fucked Eddy over and i think he was lucky to be able to walk again let alone play football, i hope one day he will be back to his best but i dont think that will be at arsenal. Good luck Eddy
