I am so fucking angry after watching that video, fair play to j pearce, when he said it was a blantent studs up challenge, the media at the time where trying to say it was not a bad tackle
the video shows clearly he made contact with studs three quarters of the way up his shin and his leg was locked straight the worst possible thing he could have done to a standing leg bar axing it off, that would have broken anybodies leg in half
i was worried if he would ever get full use at first, atleast he has that but i don't think he plays freely anymore, it seems to play on his mind and tbh he is brave to step back on the pitch i don't care how much he gets paid
sort of pissed off with the club for not sticking with him and getting the help he needs. I truly believe like the many other here that it was all in his head

I think he wanted to go, but agree it was in his head that turn he did in the video when he missed, was pure class - lost 3 defenders in one liquid move, he is very talented, the only player in a long while that will take 2 out of 3 chances in a game but right now he pulls and snatches at everything that comes his way
I think west ham were interested in signing him so a loan there would of been ideal, I really do hope he excels and earns a move to another big club to finish his career

(even though we had numerous penalties turned down after this)
Agree, it was a dive but the reaction was a joke & it definitely affected him a lot more than is often made out. Mentally I think it just took away his safety net of feeling like he could at least take evasive action if he felt he was about to get clattered again. It was pretty much a 50/50 with Boruc who would get to the ball first & Eddie went for it but after that game he was pulling out of pretty much any & every similar situation, even if the odds were more in his favour. Think it was Burnley away there was an obvious example of him pulling out of pretty much a 60/40 with that big Spuddy keeper they had. Outside the box he wasn’t too bad but inside, where he probably knew “last ditchâ€

That's the nub of it, that nobody now seriously believes that the money will be reinvested.
At this point, we are better than break even - considering the players off the payroll, Eduardo sold and those coming in.
A victim of the English press on two seperate occasions. The injury and the dive are the perfect example of the biased, arsenal bashing sport's media in the UK.
He looks like a brilliant guy and a very positive figure in the team. Never the vocal type of player, he was always calm and in control. He's a super player and if he can get to 80% of his old form, he'll be one of the best players Ukraine has ever seen.. Best of luck Eddy!

Yeah maybe but there is also the question of where Eduardo fits into our current system. Impact sub maybe? But i really dont think thats fair on the boy, after all he has been through to get fit he deserves to be playing regularly and in a place where he doesnt always have to feel targetted by lumberjacks in football shirts. I think this move, unfortunately, is best for all parties concerned.
I just hope the dinosaurs that still pollute the English game struggle to sleep at night. But i doubt it.
