Defoe: We can better Arsenal

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Setting themselves up for a fall

From LNESML on 606: "Yeah, Tottenham will play Champions League next year. Congrats, this is easier than easy."

Young Boys are a well organised side. They beat Athletico Bilbao away last season in Europa League qualifying.

They totally dominated their match at Fenerbache on Weds night.

Great draw :barscarf:

But its only in Switzerland... Glasgow is probably further away! I'd much rather they had fucked off to Ukraine for a few days lol.

Bet Bentley's licking his lips.

Seriously, if they manage to fuck this up it'll just be even sweeter!

This quote from a Spuds fan on 606:

"Already as good as through. Brilliant draw. I honestly believe that we can progress further than Arsenal in the CL this year".

What an absolute retard. Does he really think that Spuds will be able to compete in a group with the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Inter Milan etc?

I'd be surprised if they even managed to beat the teams from pot 3.

Great, hopefully Defoe has started something that will ripple through the Spuds fans loud and proud... "we will go further than Arsenal... Jermaine said so!".. before swiftly falling flat on their smug little faces.

I remember they were going to the FA Cup final this year

Tbh the spurs fans I've spoken to (I know but they cornered me!) are pretty embarassed by Defoes comments
