As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I think you've summed up the feelings of most Arsenal fans there, mate.
That's spot on, and few people would disagree (?)
And that's completely different from what you said in your opening post in this thread - as you acknowledged!

What was it? And also did Reina get any good abuse? Couldnt hear crowd much in pub.
Crowd sounded loud in the pub I was in - both sets of fans. Couldn’t make out any Nasri chant though. There was one that sounded like that “Leeds are going upâ€

*we need a better keeper and a central defender arsene!
That's bollocks!! Do I have to bring up the Alex Song Fulham game example again?
And not taking anything away from our support - good on them for going, and proportionately they do generally make more noise than the fans at Home games. But in all honesty, I thought that was the least vocal I've heard them at Anfield for years, and the famous Kop weren't even that loud themselves for most of the first match!! Perhaps it was my telly?

Neil Warnock? With all due respect who gives a toss what he thinks? He’s always had a bit of a semi for Wenger from what I recall, except for when we’ve been playing his teams & Wenger’s complained about their tactics of course. Then he’s a whining Frog all of a sudden. A lot of our football last season was turgid, and nearly all of our football the season before was as appealing as a Susan Boyle queef. While taking a shit. On her period. With Mr **** still hanging out the back of her.
Don’t get me wrong I still retain a modicum of faith in Wenger, certainly compared to the majority on here. And I’m bizarrely optimistic about this season. But the whole “careful what you wish forâ€

another fact is us here on the online gooner make up a small number of Arsenal supporters.
But isn't it highly coincidental that the folks online all seem to despise him?
Fans who post online are not the majority of fans, otherwise we would have 50,000 people posting over the ten or so Forums where Arsenal fans post, and that is way many more than who actually post.
Reckon fans who post tend to be those who want to moan.
I do not despise Wenger, just think he has had some odd failings the last three seasons.
Perhaps a little bit of perspective is required here, we got a point where both United and eventual Champions Chelsea both got beat last season. We were far from full strength with a possible keeper signing to address one of the clear weaknesses evident today.
We battled til the end and got a point and most importantly avoided defeat.

I cannot understand or agree with the sentiment that feels that wenger is untouchable due to his previous success with our club - ffs we have had many many successful managers before him and they were not kept on indefinitly so why should he ?? Every person has a shelf life and imo wenger has outlived his and he seems unable/unwilling to see his weaknesses much less to correct them so why should he still be allowed proceed when his managerial performances is appalingly bad ? How long should he be allowed continue on this road before it is "ok" ( ) to seek his removal ? Please dont give me any of this bullshit about how he is still the best man for the job and if he buys a good keeper and centre half it will all be ok again - isnt that the point that we have been making for the last few seasons and doesnt the fact that he hasnt rectified it before now only back up the feelings of fans like me who believe that his time is up ? It is my opinion that it is only the new age (sky tv era) fans who believe that wenger is untouchable cos for most of us older fans we have experienced success before under other managers and know that the world will not implode when wenger leaves The Arsenal
He isn't untouchable. But as a club have we really got to the point where we sack managers because we've not won anything for 5 seasons? Had we finished in the bottom half in those past 5 seasons playing bad football, finances in a mess, club falling apart then maybe there would be reason to question him but top 4th place at worst and regular QF appearances in the CL. Lesser clubs dream of that.

That is just the sort of condescending remark that is guaranteed to see our trophy cabinet stay empty until Wenger is turfed out.
If you want to see how football is played and should be played, study Mourinhio's teams.
They win things. They don't enter Art Classes for the visually challenged. They win matches and trophies.

...and that is probably the most considered post I've seen here in a long, long time.
The proportion of fans who post on here is small.
The proportion who despise Wenger, or at least want him to go is certainly not the majority, despite the fact that those who express any support fror the man are regarded as "rosetinters" ie, deluded.
