MOST UNDERRATED ARSENAL PLAYER IN OUR HISTORY

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Agree, was in the first team for over a decade, won two championships, two league cups, an FA Cup and the ECWC.

Ray Parlour, Paul Davis, Kevin Richardson, Richie Powling, Nutty and Dicko... so many...

And also Bergkamp. Yes he was even better than we thought! The truest genius I've ever seen play. 8)

Hmmm... this is what makes football so great, differing opinions, imo, T.W. was slightly overrated, he was indeed a quality player, but he used to do my brain in, when, after being included in an England squad, in the game preceeding the England game, he used to bottle out every tackle going, to ensure he wasn't injured for that particular game.... :?

It's great to see so many people saying "Kevin Richardson & Steve Bould" - 2 of the finest ever to wear our shirt.

Neither man grabbed the headlines week in week out but every title winning team needs players like these two - consistent, hard working, prepared to do their hard work in the background, effective whatever situation they are faced with.

Just the sort of players that we don't have at the moment!

REBEL GOONER wrote:stevie bould and nutty winterburn stand out for me, while gooners loved their never say die attitude it seems the rest of england including the national managers at the time never gave them the proper respect there play deserved.

others could be

brian talbot
steve williams -a nutter
kevin richardson
and even david o leary who many on here dont like but for a long time was our longest serving player and who stayed at arsenal his full playing career even when he could have gone many times , so he deserves better.
I think O'leary is still the record holder for appearances, and he also played for Leeds after leaving us (1993 Cup final wasn't it)?

Really? I don't know how you came about that mate. Keown only joined back in 1993.
