As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

mikey, you are of course entitled to your opinion and rest assured any comments I make are purely to encourage a discussion based on my feelings.
Furthermore, can you seriously envisage, in ten years time, the same amount of money being involved in the game? Are we not right to control our finances in an oderly manner to ensure that the future of the club is assured. We are all too greedy, it's a clear fact of life, we all want, want, want.

That's even more bollocks.
I don't want to get into a rat fight so I ain't going to sustain this dispute much more, but, thinking you just support the 'club' ie: the arsenal brand is complete and utter shite.
Sorry in advance if I'm wrong, but I'd doubt 'you' ie: people out there, fell in love with 'Arsenal' because you happened to love the name. At a young age the word 'Arse' isn't exactly a name you would love to be associated with. Unless your pops forced a jersey down your neck since 'you' were 3 months old, then you fell in love because of a player/players that you admired.
So piss off with the Arsenal branded shit. If you don't like the manager, go support someone else until they find one that suits your fancy. And anyway if it's the Arsenal brand that you all adore then you should be happy to love every single part of the entire system, from the cleaner to the owner - REGARDLESS!
We should be all be lovers (to a certain extent )
I think its pitiful that certain fans think that anyone voicing concerns should fuck off and support someone else. I Love Arsenal the football club (not brand ) loved it before Wenger will love it after Wenger and as a supporter i have a right to raise concerns if i dont like certain things.... Now you can tell me to fuck off and support sp*rs all you like but i wont and ill still voice concerns....

Its pathetic to say anyone who doesnt join in with that stupid chant should support another team.
It's not a stupid chant. It's a respectful gesture to the manager of our football club, to a manager who brings us success every year for the last 6 seasons. We've reached the champions league every year haven't we? We've put ourselves in position to challenge for the top honours, haven't we?
Only one side can win and in a sport (especially champions league) which has about 15 teams that can win, it ain't plain sailing.
Aside from golf, you won't find many other competitions that has 15 teams that can challenge for the champion and golfers are fortunate to win one tournament every two or three years let alone 3-4 a season.

Were not talking about spending 100 mil mate - Just a CB - 10-15 Mil and a keeper 5-10 Mil
Players we NEED not players we would like.
selsdon wrote:Sorry for being thick m8, could you list all our successes of the last 6 seasons plz?
Sure.
2 quarter-finals of the Champions League
1 semi-final of the Champions League
1 Final of the Champions League
Semi-final of FA Cup
Not finished outside the top 4 of our domestic league, argubly the best and most competitive league in world football.
That's not success or challenging for top honours?

No, that's not success. The only serious 'challenge' amongst that little lot was the CL final - never ever looked like winning it last yr, as well you know.
We won something called the FA Cup in 2005 and have seriously challenged for third spot in the league every yr
Awesome stuff.......
Success isn't soley based on winning things. Our club has grown financially which is a huge success. You sit (or maybe don't) in a world-class stadium over 20 times a year watching a top-class football team, that's success.
We've brought through talented young players which is another success.
Still arguing we've had NO success in last 5-6 years?

In your eyes m8, what success should we realistically be having?
