Diarra has to be a better long term prospect than Gilberto.Wenger should be doing everything in his power to keep him at the club.

i would like Diarra to stay but i agree with Wengers policy about letting a player leave if they are unhappy . keeping aside the team spirit and mood within the camp , if Wenger took a hard line it would impact our ability to sign other promising youngsters in the future .

young players know that Wenger is a reasonable and considerate man and so they are motivated to join us compared to other top clubs . they know they will get a top class football education and if they are good enough a crack at the first team . they also know that if things dont work out as planned the Boss will not stand in their way to find another club where they will get more first team action .

having said that i am fucking worried now .with Flanimal yet to sign and Gilberto looking a shadow of his former self , we might find ourselves without any decent defensive midfielders if Diarra fucks off .
