CARLING CUP AT THE SWAMP

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Woaahh, the only person who compared Bentley to Bergkamp was.... David Bentley. In fact, I'm sure he actually said he is better than Bergkamp.

Played for the yiddo reserves last night, and was still their shittest player. Ha ha fucking ha.

I can remember thousands of our lot singing "We've got David Bentley!" in the same fashion as we would sing The Great Man's chant (I refuse to use his name in the same post as I use Ratboy's name). :(

Effective.
No room for misinterpretation.
So that's who Wenger was texting in the stands. Top work Arsene. :barscarf:

I didn't see this live but in it was Almunia's reaction to flappy. He basically put one hand on his head turned away and in disappointment/disgust.
Yeah, looked to me like he was really upset for Fabianski to be honest, like he knew it Fabianski was nearing the last chance saloon.

Selective editing from Sky I'm sure ; He might have just realised he'd left the oven on or something, at any given point during the match.

I considered that but in this instance I very much doubt it. I'm sure it was his reaction after the goal.

I’d bet he’d probably just dropped one (this is Almunia we’re talking about after all) and he couldn’t take the smell of his own guts. We've all been there & been a little bit disgusted with ourselves.

I have to say, Spuds fans were all perfectly happy to dish out the piss-taking when they finally beat us, but try and do the same to them and they get so fucking stroppy about it.

Having not lost to them for nine years (1999-2008), I got to the stage where I didn't even take the piss out of my Spud-loving mate (yes, I confess to having Spud-supporting friends  ). It just seemed unfair. It would've been like taking the piss out of a young girl who'd just been beaten up by a bloke.

So they finally win a game against us, and all crawled out of their gutters and announced themselves as Spud fans, yet give them a taste of their own medicine and they can't handle it and start throwing tantrums.

Pathetic.

Spurs fans are so thickle. Before the game, you haven't won anything in 5 years, you would rather win the League cup than nothing.

After the game, its only the League cup it means nothing.

Is that 'thick' and 'fickle' combined?
