Pires back at Arsenal

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Closely followed by AW taking him off in the CL final.
Agree.

Do not think he would be competitive in Premier League now though.
I'm sure its like learning to ride a bike, once you learn you don't forget. ;):p

Desperate people  Stuck/clinging to the past  Super Bob was part of an Arsenal team that was probably the best i'll ever see :barscarf:

Unfortunately, there's a chance that they may have raised our expectations so high that anything else just won't do. Gutted, what a downer

Great times though ( if you were lucky enough to see 'em ) :barscarf:

What the fuck? We aren't Wigan Athletic.

And clinging onto the past, 4 years ago is hardly the 70s is it?

Nobody wants Pires, even in french League, but he can't play at Arsenal because the current team is not good enough for him ..
:speechless: :coffeespit:

He's an Arsenal Legend, but he only can hope to play in an average french league Club at best, trust me.

Personally I would rather him playing then alot of our players. But there is no need to tarnish his reputation.

Wenger made his bed, he can lie in it.

Can you imagine him making his bed...would drive you nuts (probably uses thin sheets and old human hair as pillows.)

Stop living up to your reputation Paddy

Is 4 years ago not the past ? Yes :banghead: it is !!
And my point was that it was probably the most successful period in Arsenal history as well as the best football we've ever played :barscarf: .
( I am in my mid thirties. 40+ may be offended, for no reason at all usually  ) and my kids missed it unfortunately. That's all I meant.

There are some touchy fellas on here, so there is, to be sure, but.
