I read that and couldn't believe it. If they're looking to move to east london we need to a find a new team to hate.Bring Back Pires wrote:Anybody see this? Looks like they might be fucking off to East London!

Dont think spurs supporters would be too happy with the move east
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 050558.stmTottenham have registered an interest in taking over the London 2012 Olympic Stadium, the club has announced.
Spurs join fellow Premier League side West Ham in submitting a formal interest in the 80,000-seater stadium.
"It is only prudent and good management that we ensure that we investigate all possible options for the club," said Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.
Spurs also had planning permission for a new stadium in north London approved by Haringey Council on Thursday.
I think they just registered interest to call Haringey councils bluff. The council didn't want them pulling out of a massive regeneration project of one of the shittest areas of London.

I think you're right. But there's still a chance they could opt for the Olympic Stadium as it will probably cost significantly less than the £400m to build a new shithole.kingjayson1 wrote:http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 050558.stmTottenham have registered an interest in taking over the London 2012 Olympic Stadium, the club has announced.

Also, where are they planning on playing if they do rebuild WHL? Isn't it on the same spot?
Why would anybody want to stay in a hotel in Tottenham unless it was for a football match. There is poor transport links to the centre of London from where they are and it is not as if that the area is a nice one to go out for the night in!!!!!
After all the hastle that Arsenal went through with TFL about the train stations and the police about the ability to move a great number of fans away in a quick time after the matches how are Spurs going to get by this?
White Hart Lane mainline station is four minutes walk from the stadium, which joins the Victoria Line tube service via Seven Sisters. A small station and you will have to change to get onto the Victoria line
Northumberland Park mainline station is eight minutes walk from the stadium, which joins the Victoria line tube service at Tottenham Hale station. Isnt this one station up from WHL station so does not reduce crowding on the trains?
There is an excellent bus service from Seven Sisters running past the stadium entrance. Yep have you tried driving up Tottenham high road on a Sat?????
Trains run from both Seven Sisters and Tottenham Hale to Liverpool Street Station. A nice walk up Tottenham high road
A taxi rank is available at Tottenham Hale Station. So after walking up Tottenham high road you will have to line up for a cab and then sit in the traffing around the oneway system!!!!
I just hope TFL and the police are just as strict on Spurs as they were on Arsenal

Think they were planning on knocking the shithole down stand by stand & carrying on playing there in a 3/4 empty stadium while they build the new shithole. Which will be perfect practice for when it’s complete and they’re still playing in a 3/4 empty stadium. As in they’ll knock down the Brady Look At That Stand but keep the rest in tact and when that new stand’s done they’ll knock down the Ray Kennedy We Won The League At The Shithole Header Stand and so on.Bring Back Pires wrote:Also, where are they planning on playing if they do rebuild WHL? What's the odds they wont even be able to fill SHL when the capacity's reduced during rebuilding yet they'll still be yapping on about getting 60,000 once it's finished?!

Yeah your right, this is how they propose to do it;Its Up 4 Grabs Now wrote:Think they were planning on knocking the shithole down stand by stand & carrying on playing there in a 3/4 empty stadium while they build the new shithole. PHASE 1
New stadium build commences to the North of the existing stadium. The existing stadium remains in use at full capacity.
PHASE 2
Out of season, the North Stand of the existing stadium is demolished and the new pitch is laid.
PHASE 3
The partially completed new stadium is in use for one season with a capacity in excess of the current ground. The remainder of the existing stadium is demolished.
PHASE 4
Out of season the remainder of the new stadium is completed, ready for the start of the following season.
But like IG said, look at the hassle we had about travel. That place is a joke for travel and it doesn't help that you have hoodlems along all routes to all stations.
They won't be able to fill it when the North Stand is completely out.

So they’re gonna demolish & rebuild from scratch 3/4 of The New Shithole all in the space of the off-season?kingjayson1 wrote:PHASE 1

What sort of tinpot lego-land shit are they building? Is it Robbie Keane & Sons who’ve given them that quote? Maybe he’s done them a deal on the tarmac-ing & brickwork too.
