diarra set to go !!!!!!!!
Arsenal hope to complete the sale of French midfielder Lassana Diarra, 22, to Portsmouth for £5.5million.
Boss Harry Redknapp beat Spurs to Diarra’s signature and will make him one of the top earners at Fratton Park on £60,000 a week.
Diarra was close to signing for Newcastle before Sam Allardyce was sacked.

I really hope Diarra isn't sold, he's the future of our defensive midfield: Gilberto is past his best and unlikely to stay beyond the summer and Flamini (who I think is probably unable to maintain his fine form in the long term) is out of contract at the end of the season. So, having had an embarrassment of riches in centre midfield a few months ago, we could end up next year trying to partner Cesc with his back-up, Denilson, or Diaby, who may or may not be able to recover his excellent early form of a couple of years ago.
Diarra was a bit of a tit, mouthing off to the French footy press a while ago, and he must have known getting a first team spot straight away would be tough (even if Flamini's been a bit of a surprise to everyone) but the boy's top quality, we should do everything we can to keep him. Cesc and Diarra is our future midfield pairing I'm sure of it....

Couldn't give a toss either way if he is sold or not!
He has hardly impressed and if he thinks he has a god given right to be in the team because he was a measly £2 million quid transfer from the Chavs then he is very much mistaken!
Sure he has talent but I hate the quitting attitude half way through his first season!

done deal to pompy by looks of it. well at least it isn't spurs he'll be lining up for.
what a shame. a real case of what could of been.

Rather than fight for his place he'll flounce off, not once but twice.
Wrong attitude.
