I go to about 7-9 games a year which is not as much as I want but I cant afford the total cost of going over as much as I used to.
Anyway I read the disgrace about our ticketing policy in the Mail today. I find it bloody disgusting they would even think about 100 pound tickets, they have some fucking nerve.
I've looked around at other forums who are disgusted at the way football is going, and OUR CLUB is leading the way in terms of PLASTIC, CORPORATE, ANTI FAN agendas.
This is a disgrace we can now be charged more money to watch this sack of shit side and a manager who now seems to be concentrating on becoming a politician, then in previous years with a better atmosphere, and sides that shit all over this current mob in every possible manner.
And a manager to be proud of, who I like to call "Old Wenger".
I've contacted the AISA our supposed rep with the club and got this reply
The waiting list thing is total charade, we know that. But as we know the attendances being so good mean we will continute to be robbed blind as supporters for this sub par side, deluded manager and squad of overpaid arrogant tossers.Ticket pricing is something we are discussing with the club. And this is another thing that we will bring to the table. We fully understand the cost issue to many supporters ( myself included ) . One argument that comes from the club is that pretty much every game is a sellout and there are still 40,000 on the season ticket waiting list. No other club in the premiership is like this , including Manchester United. ManU did not sell all their season tickets this year. Fact. Until this happens at Arsenal I cannot see to much change.
Having said that the club are looking at realigning some price to make it cheaper for some area's of the ground. Don't hold your breath on this though as it is only being looked at and may never happen.
We will continue to pressure the club though on behalf of all our members.
As supporters our club is known for being slow to react to these situations. But I ask, will in your own opinions:
A) A boycott ever happen at this club considering, the amount of JCLs?
B) Is this a feasible idea, for even this season?
C) Would it be a wake up call to the club ?
I personally believed if this idea is timed correctly, that it can be achieved.
We will be out of the title race a long time by April, 3rd place etc is meaningless to me in that we will not see change.
Looking at the fixtures, got Blackburn at home on the 2nd of April, could something be organised for such a game.
Blackburn are the most boring dull shite side in this league, a meaningless match, which would help matters. A boycott of this game, which if all the stops were pulled out could an attendance of around 40k what with their shit support.
Can we do this?
