ppl always put this cup down but Man Utd won it before going on to winning the league 3 times and the champions league, and Chelsea did it before winning the leage twice so still worth winning.

we moan we dont get any silverware, i wudnt mind getting the carling cup in February for a start

I'm weirdly quite excited about this.. maybe due to the fact I'm going, but seeing as he rested RVP and Theo maybe he will continue his stronger squad approach!
Could rack up quite a score and be a memorable night....

or lose in extra time :banghead:

When did you buy them? If you bought them before Tuesday Nov. 9th it'll be membership cards, if you bought them after you should have received paper tickets...

We will have a strong team out for this and should win comfortably. Mind you I remember them breaking our hearts in the semis :(

Heading to this also. In true Arsenal Jekyll and Hyde style of late, it's odd that we can lose at home to Tottenham and fail spectacularly at Braga in one week, and then go top of the league and qualify for a cup semi-final the next. Generally speaking, I can't quite tell if we're one step away from being a trophy winning side, or one step away from being a mid-table side. Surely one will supercede the other at some stage in the future.

As for the game, I'd expect a slightly more youthful team than those that featured in previous rounds, as it's our poorest opposition yet, and at the Emirates. We should win comfortably nonetheless - maybe 3-0 - and I'd expect the annual chipped goal from Vela to send me home happy.

Vela scored his chip in the champions league, hes booked in to play well in the 5th round in 2011 tho :barscarf:
