I need to say: congratulations to the Arsenal away supporters ... maybe the best in the world! They shut up their supporters the whole match, and didn't let the team be affraid of some draw coming on ...

but, f*ck Arsène, too slow to change the team

Fucking amazing Arsenal really are going to give me a heart attack.

Loved it at the end after Jacks goal, put the villa fans in their place, a few of their fans were recording us

Good game Arshavin

Hope I don't get stranded in Aston next time though

Should put all the away fans together in the north bank (assuming they go to the home matches). Would encourage everyone else but never gonna happen.

why the heavy handed tactics from the stewards, there were four gooners on the pitch celebrating with there team

what did the stewards think they were going to do, now we will probably get a club fine and away allocation reduced :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Because this is modern football, where passion is frowned upon & fans are not allowed to get near the pampered, protected footballing superstars incase they should be wanting to cause harm to players of their own team. :banghead:

More PC, leftie, health & safety overkill. In the same way that celebrating with your own fans can get a player a yellow card. Sad times.

I'm in 2 minds about this. I'm old enough to remember lots of pitch invasions and players being threatened or hit by opposing fans. How do the stewards know if it is a "friendly" invader or someone out to injure a player? And even if it is one of your own, if you were AA would you want to be at risk of Mr "I love him" ****, chasing him naked down the pitch waving his 2 inches?

How were they heavy handed?

I was at the game, and thought I'd seen what happened fairly well, but I wasn't aware of any drama unfolding?

My experience was that the stweards were ok - obviously they wrestled a bit with the gooners who made their way onto the pitch, but that's to be expected - after all, if stewards weren't strict about fans being allowed on the pitch and celebrating with the players, then there would soon be mahem.

I would imagine it can soon become quite daunting trying to control the away fans once they start breaking out and onto the pitch - that's bound to get your adrenaline going, and from my view they seemed to deal with it quite well.... :?

Also., no mention of it on the match thread??? - so was it really all that serious??

Ah well, you've probably seen a close up of it on tv, so you'll know more than me... my view of it wasn't that great - but I'm still surprised.

When that fan dived on top, Jack must have looked up from the bottom and thought 'who the fuck is that?'
