A handful of fans on the pitch is not unusual, happens at many games.
As G88ner says, thankful they just wanted to celebrate not attack players.
Thought our attack was good today, but defence was full of holes.
could not believe what I was seeing with Clichy backing off for first Villa goal, Keystone Cops organisation again.

Thought this was pretty spot on.HendrixFreire wrote:I need to say: congratulations to the Arsenal away supporters ... maybe the best in the world! They shut up their supporters the whole match, and didn't let the team be affraid of some draw coming on ...
but, f*ck Arsène, too slow to change the team
Pitch Invasion: Was all in good fun, but the last thing you want to see is player's potentially hurt if the fan was actually violent; gotta be careful about that stuff these days, unfortunately too many assholes trying to make a headline.
On the game: We played alright, but too much "ole!" bullshit mid-2nd-half got us complacent and let Villa back in the game. I thought Wenger was extremely slow to make changes, which to me suggests that he told the boys before the game he expected 80 minutes of full effort. I might have put in some offensive players to kill the game off, but we got the 3 so I can't complain too much.
Oh and dare I say it, and knock on wood, but... is this the return of the real ARSHAVIN?
Have to agree with Barriecuda, passion is good but you don't want someone jumping on Jack and accidentally hurting him e.g. breaking his arm.
A good game overall, dominated first half and we got 3 points but should have scored more in the 1st half, more defensive lapses gave away two goals.
I hope Andrey is here to stay if he keeps playing like today, but wonder if he has been told he can go in January if they receive a high enough offer.

Arrived back home a couple of hours ago, and had a pretty good day.
The Villa Supporters: Was sat in with the home fans, and they were alright. I know a lot of users on here have a beef with Villa fans, but they seemed relatively friendly and complimentary of Arsenal's football (aside from the occasional 'Fook oof ya cockney'). No problems outside the stadium, even with both sets of fans intermingling at the train stations.
The Atmosphere: Their support was woeful. Deathly silent for 90% of the game, they didn't chant anything whatsoever in the first half; and the subsequent two goals in the second half only brought a mild smatter of emotion. It was fine by me, because a) It disguised the fact that I wasn't a home fan, and b) It wasn't too sickening when they scored. It's a mild relief that it's not just the Emirates that's completely devoid of any atmosphere.
Pires: Anonymous for the 45 minutes that he played. BBC 606 said that he played particularly poorly, but I didn't notice him being any worse than any other Villa player. Pretty embarrassing for the home fans that the only chant honouring their new signing came from the away fans. Also chuckled at the spelling on Villa's electronic board line-up: "Pirez".
The Stadium: Second time I've been to Villa Park (the previous occasion was in 2003), and thought it was okay. £25 ticket was good value for a well-positioned seat (right behind the goal), and I was even able to get a pint and use the toilets at half-time without having to queue for either. It was cold, draught Heineken too, which was very welcome after a stressful journey up (in which I was stuck in traffic on the M40 for an hour and didn't make it to the stadium until 12.30pm). Makes a change to the warm piss-water at Arsenal.
Arsenal Fans: Excellent. Fortunately, they were to my left, and thus I was in direct ear-shot of them for the whole game. Music to my ears, and just a shame I couldn't join in. There were a couple of lulls in the singing - such as when the game began dying a slow death between the 20th and 30th minute, and the last ten minutes where it looked like we might balls it up again - but overall, very impressive.
Arsenal: There were times in the second half we looked like running riot. It was a joy to watch, and I was thinking how glad I was to have made the effort to travel up. It really looked like it could be a 5-1 rout. Ten minutes later, it looked as though we could end up with a point, or possibly even worse. I do think that better opposition than Villa could've pressured us into a 3-3 draw, which is a worry. Still, three points in the bag from another tricky away day is always worth having.
Talk Sport: Because Radio 5 had rugby commentary on the way back, I had the mispleasure of listening to this abortion of a radio station. What a joke. The anti-Arsenal bias was disgusting. Midway through what HAD been an impartial score service, the host paused to remind everyone that Arsenal struggled against inferior opposition, whereas Man Utd were sweeping away their inferior opponents with ease. He then threw in that the only score that matters is 'Arsenal 2 Spurs 3'. When an Arsenal fan texted in, asking whether it was a wind-up, and mentioned that Man Utd only drew with Villa a couple of weeks ago, he blurted out this utter nonsense: "But Man Utd caught Villa on a day when Villa were at their best". To that, I say 'BOLLOCKS'. I watched that game, and Villa were appalling. Really, really bad. Possibly even worse than today. They scored a penalty and then got a lucky second, and then capitulated. At that stage, I turned over to Radio 5 and have vowed never to listen to that horrific station ever again. Why did a simple score service have to be infiltrated with anti-Arsenal bias? I just don't get it.

Big win and was nice to go top even if it was just for a few hours until fat sam bent over for ferguscum again
It goes without saying that winning comfortably is no longer in our playbook as we continue to let even the shittiest of teams score goals against us and fail to kill off these games early
As has been said already Arshavin was outstanding today and his interview after the game was absolute class
Nasri was a bit quiet in the 1st half today but he picked up his game after he scored and was probably a bit hindered by that muscle injury. It's funny but I think that jack was only prominent when wenger took off AA and nasri although most of us have said before that covering defensively for song stunts jack's normal game.
Has to be said that defensively we were a mess on occasions again today. Individually I thought that kos, sagna and clichy played well but as a unit there is no cohesion or organisation at all
I have long since gone on record saying that I believe that squillachi is the weak link and I dont really see what he brings to the table and you can count the number of times he wins a header in next to no time - in fact I think even djouru won more headers than him and he was only on for 2 minutes
