As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

If you want Arsenal Radio you should tune in to Absolute radio, Wrighty has a phone in after full time and is as biased towards Arsenal as anyone could ever be. He always has other ex Arsenal players as studio or phone guests, today was Perry Groves, much better than talk shite radio

The return?! Hasn't he only ever had about four decent games for us?
Not a stat as such but I believe that if you check the amount of assists arshavin has had this season he is up near the top of the league in this area which imo bears out the belief that playing in the old bergkamp role is the proper position for a player of his quality

I like Arshavin, and think he's a good player. I don't doubt that he's racked up some goals and assists during his Arsenal career. However, there's not many occasions in which I've watched a game and thought, "Wow, Arshavin was fucking awesome". The only truly world-class performance he's given us was at Anfield, but there's been some good ones along the way too - today being a fine example.

arshavin comes and goes, I wouldn't expect him to start scoring more

but, f*ck Arsène, too slow to change the team
Thought this was pretty spot on.
Pitch Invasion: Was all in good fun, but the last thing you want to see is player's potentially hurt if the fan was actually violent; gotta be careful about that stuff these days, unfortunately too many assholes trying to make a headline.
On the game: We played alright, but too much "ole!" bullshit mid-2nd-half got us complacent and let Villa back in the game. I thought Wenger was extremely slow to make changes, which to me suggests that he told the boys before the game he expected 80 minutes of full effort. I might have put in some offensive players to kill the game off, but we got the 3 so I can't complain too much.
Oh and dare I say it, and knock on wood, but... is this the return of the real ARSHAVIN?
Arshavin has a good game here and then! today was a good game! 2day we did what we shud have done against the ****! kill the game off but failed !

I was talking about assists this season only where I believe he is in the top 2 or 3 goal makers in the league Anyway my point is that in every team you have the "water carriers" and the creative players and the latter group will sometimes appear to be doing fcuk all until 1 moment of genius turns the game in their side's favour and arshavin is the only player of this type we now possess I 100% believe that if he was played in the Bergkamp role off the main striker we would all see the little guy involved more often, be seen to be influencing the game on a consistant basis and be less likely to be viewed as lazy as he is when he is in and out of the game on the wing

We have just won another tough away game and are top of the league.
I never said there was no chance of throwing it away - we could be 5-0 nil up and throw it away the way we play.
I take issue with the fat you act all high and mighty calling people morons when people like you spend the game trying to run everything good about the team / performance down - i just dont get it - nobody has said we are perfect, or that we are going to win the league.
People can support the team as they wish, but i dont get people that comment on the bad stuff, ignore the good - and talk in a very condescending manner to anyone that dare have any faith in their team.
But fuck it, another good away win - and yes, i do enjoy it when we win, villa is not an easy place to win, let alone after a CL midweek game. Can we win the league? Yes, its that sort of season. Will we? Not unless we start defending.
First beer of the day at 8.30, Charlie Charlie deciding to wear his breakfast instead of eating it, non-stop singing and seeing Chunky wearing ear muffs!
This was my first domestic away game for a few years and it reminded me what football should be like. My voice is still shot to bits now!
Im the good looking one on the left - because of train problems had to leave home at 5.15am to meet Gus at Houston. Nearly got chucked off the train on the way home for winding up the fella in the bar but we all kissed and made up!
Carried on drinking on my return and arrived home at 3am - good day all round!
I think this game showed the best and worst bits of the current Arsenal team perfectly.
In the first half, to use an old adage, "if it was a boxing match they would have stopped it". The passing and movement was actually back to a standard that we have not seen for weeks and Arshavin showed that he can still be the player of 18 months ago if he can be f+++ing arsed occasionally. It could easily have been 4 or 5 by the break, and apart from the usual wastefulness in front of goal it would be difficult to complain.
In the second half ? A continuation of some of the best bits, but dear me, is there a team in the top 3 of any league in Europe with an inability to defend set pieces like us ? Koscielny and Squillaci are a disaster waiting to happen from every cross, corner and free kick. Clark finished the first goal very well but look at the clearing header, and the yes, no, maybe approach to closing him down from the shot. And the second goal classic rank defending - stick Dunne up there, win the first header, keeper in no man's land, win the second header, slapstick defending on the line.
Delighted we came through it but if we continue to defend like this I'll be amazed if we finish top 3
