I'm not Rocky, but I was there 'til the bitter end, applauding the boys. When Ade, Gallas, Cesc, Theo and the Flamster came over to applaud us back and apologise it was one of those true Gooner moments that made it all seem better, one where you know you're a Gooner for life, come thick or thin, and that this isn't the end of our season, just the beginning. Those boys knew they'd let us down, and they know they've got to make it up. All 3 of the trophies we really care about are still well and truly on, so let's consign this to history and move on, starting this Saturday.
COME ON YOU GUNNERS!!!!!
COME ON YOU GUNNERS!!!!!
I WAS THERE UNTIL THE END AS I WAS STILL IN SHOCK AND JUST THINKING ABOUT WHAT SHITE I WOULD GET AT WORK TODAY,I WAS NOT AS LOUD AS THE MAN WITH THE BERRET YARDS FROM ME BUT I DID CLAP PLAYERS WHO CAME OVER,GOT HOME NO PROBLEM EVEN A FEW SPURS WHO LIVE NEAR ME LET ME WALK PAST ON THE TRAIN WITHOUT TOO MUCH BARRICKING,I DID HAVE TO SAY TO THEM THEY DESERVED IT AND DO THINK IF WE DONT SIGN A FEW FOR NEXT SEASON THE GAP IS GOING TO CLOSE BETWEEEN US AND THEM--- I DON'T GO WITH THAT THIS WAS OUR 2ND STRING--- WHAT YOU ARE SAYING PLAYERS LIKE LEE DAWSON TANIO ARE BETTER THAN DENILSON TRAORE ETC SO IT SAYS ARSENAL V TOTTENHAM NOT ARSENAL B V TOTTENHAM --IT HATES ME TO SAY THIS AND I HAVE EMAILS COMING FROM YIDDS OUT THE WOODWORK BUT ITS REALISM.
that sky report is shit, there wasn't one gooner left standing and singing at 4-0, the majority were still there. if he was the only one left stading and singing, how come 4-1 and you still wont sing was ringing out round the stadium, not to mention the new ade song. shit reporting

Couldn't resist, I know it won't make any difference but I had to do the Mr Angry thing and email Skysports on that one:Rilo II wrote:that sky report is shit, there wasn't one gooner left standing and singing at 4-0, the majority were still there. if he was the only one left stading and singing, how come 4-1 and you still wont sing was ringing out round the stadium, not to mention the new ade song. shit reporting
"Without wanting to interfere with your angle in http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528, ... 74,00.html, what a load of rubbish. Was the journalist at the game last night, or even watching it on TV? Some Arsenal fans did leave early but the majority (including me) were there till the end. And we were singing all through the game, including out-singing the home fans for significant spells - just check the Sky TV coverage if you don't believe me - when I got home last night, I watched it and there we were, load and clear, with such ditties as "4-1 and you still won't sing". When they scored and once the result was in the bag, the Spurs crowd were rocking, but for large chunks of the game they were mysteriously quiet, much more so than the away fans. To pretend all the Arsenal fans left and were quiet (bar the admirable Rocky) is plain wrong.
But never let the truth get in the way, that's the adage about your esteemed profession, isn't it?"
Like most of you, I've been getting plenty of stick from Spurs fans in work today - none of whom went to the game by the way.
But then I got an email from a good mate of mine who has been to EVERY Spurs match for the last 25 years (I kid you not!!!) and EVERY Spurs home match for the last 33....! I quote "The Arsenal fans really got behind their team even when they were getting swamped. I'm not sure our lot would have?". Ignoring the "swamped" comment (although who can blame him for savouring it after all these years!!), I'd take that as quite a compliment!! Thank you Simple Pieman (I know you regularly look at this site) and thank you to those fans who did us proud!!

i agree damien...although i couldnt make the game i was so disapointed in seeing so many of our fans leave so early...yes it was gut wrenching.....but lets not give the scum the added pleasure of us walking out on our team...well done and thank you to those that stayednorthbankdamien wrote:I agree I was proud but also ashamed of the few who left with bout 20min to go! it may have been hard to watch but fuck it (in all honesty I had to force myself to watch). In all honesty rilo i really think it looked like all the players understood the gravity of what had just happend!
