Don't forget the Carling Cup will be paraded and the buzzword around the bowl next summer will be 'springboard'

Us realists got a long hard summer ahead listening to the 'gloating' of the AKBs
There won't even be the Carling Cup to display. Even if we do squeeze past Ipswich, which I think will actually be far tougher than most think, then I could see Birmingham or West Ham strangling the game at Wembley and losing by the odd goal or penalties.

Still at least the GIC will be able to blame the Wembley pitch

Steve0, I wanted us to get spanked at Birmingham and had posters like iceman talking about raping me for my views.

I don't want us to win the Carling Cup for reasons of greater good etc and look forward to more threats of man rape.

Fair enough, I still don't agree (yet) but I can see where you're coming from.

1991, can u honestly abide the image of Denilson, Bender, Eboue, Vela jumping up and down with the carling cup singing championees

with Wenger in the background talking about the beginnings of something special

I know but I'd never want us to pass up the chance of silverware. I don't think you've got too much to worry about though. Even if we do get to the final we'll be playing a second string.

This shower of losers haven't a fucking hope of winning the Carling Cuo, don't delude yourself. Birmingham or West Ham? Pah that’s beneath us, we only need to turn up, stroke it about and our obvious brilliance will be enough to destroy them. Only time and time again we have been humiliated by the minnows, humiliated by a bunch of no hopers. Plus this team hasn’t the bottle to win. GUTLESS. CLUELESS LOSERS.

Interesting. You dont want us to achieve something, so that we can achieve something?

No, I'm not gonna have a rant because there is no point.

An achievement on a par with winning the emirates cup

I don't think he should go from club, maybe move him upstairs. I do believe he should not be manager though. I seriously still think that with a few ins and alot of outs that squad would be excellent. Unfortunately it won't happen. I also think we have good chance of winning a few throphys this year with this current squad but I'd still probably want him out (i'll be killed for that) unless he does address the obvious ie bring in top class defenders, have tictacs in games, goalkeeper, defensive midfielder, motivate ur players and get a haircut and tell Pat Rice to get one too.

Selsdon, I understand the sentiment mate but sadly, win or lose the Carling Cup, it will make no difference whatsoever to Wenger's continued employment at the club. As a fan of the club, first and foremost I desperately want us to win something....anything. If I had a cast iron guarantee that losing the final would get the GIC the boot then I might go along with you but sadly he is here until at least 2014 - something you and I and all the others have to accept. So we need to take every success we can get between now and then......and if that means the meaningless Beer Cup then so be it. We will never win any of the other trophies under Wenger
