Chippy wrote:Zippy I have edited your post. We are very tolerant on here but words like that shouldn't be used to insult others. You are wrong about "Sky era, plastic fans". The vast majority of "realists" on here have been around for a long time. If you hate this place so much, I would guess most people here wouldn't be remotely upset if you didn't post again.
Martin, you had started to make non-board, short comments on other threads and I thought you might have turned a corner, but no. Do you not realise how much you are pissing off some people on here?
In general peeps please remember this place is firstly about having a bit of fun and a laugh. If you think what's posted on here is hugely important and it will make the board sit up and listen or it is responsible for all Arsenal fans getting a reputation, get real!
So it's alright to call wenger, denilson and whoever else a *word censored*, unmoderated, but it's not alright to use the word spastic? Interesting.
Your last paragraph is sort of my point exactly. Football is supposed to be fun and a laugh, yet 80% of the posts are just moangroanwhingemoanmoangroanwhingingmoaning. It's fucking tiresome.
What people say on here and another notable Arsenal forum is clearly feeding the ever-growing "throw a tantrum after EVERY bad result" crowd. If it was limited to just what's written here I wouldn't give a toss, but it influences people who then go and abuse the players on twitter, or ring 6-0-6 to say "wenger out". I then have to go and sit next to these people and people influenced by it week in-week out at games and they ruin it for me and everyone around them with there incessant moaning and grumbling. I also then have to work with them, or fans of other clubs who listen to 6-0-6 and whatever else and are incredulous that there are people who ACTUALLY want Arsene Wenger sacked.
So I do believe it does influence people, and it also influences results ultimately because - like against man city - the crowd gets on the players back. Therefore I feel the need to rally against it with a bit of positivity and genuine perspective, and I don't really feel I should apologise if that upsets people along the way, coz it's sort of the point.
Final word from my mate Loz, a spers ST holder in the park lane end, following post-game radio phone in last night:
"99% of football clubs, especially spurs, don't usually deserve the unified, passionate and committed support they get from their fans. Arsenal are the 1% that are the exact opposite".
