Can i just say 1991 you need to calm down a little !!

step back and look at things from a realistic perspective.Think you need to stop obsessing with what it says in the papers or what is being said on here.I mean come on man at one point you were adding together poll results from here and the offical forum to put forward the untenable nature of Wengers managerial role!! FFS!! :banghead: :banghead:

John Cross is nothing more than a glorified blogger and knows as much about what is going on at Arsenal than you or i do.He has access to press conferences etc but all this stuff is reported anyway so he doesnt have any info at his disposal than we do....the man said that we had signed Joe Cole and Mark Schwarzer over the summer!!

At the moment we are in last 16 of champs league, last 4 of CC,still in fa cup and a game in hand away from being second in the league-all that having played all our main rival except for the y**s away from home. Its still all to play for.Wenger is going to be our manager until the summer at least so all of this is pointless.Lets see where we are at in May and judge the team then.

At the moment-

are we a club in crisis-no?
are we the best run club in europe-yes?
do we have a manager that cares about our club as much as we the fans do?-i believe yes.
do we have a manager who cares about the long term state of our club other than the years we'll have under his tenure-yes!
Do i believe Arsene is currently the right man for the job-yes!

Just out of interest Jacky. How would you feel if we get knocked out the cup by Ipswich, get knocked out FA cup by Leeds. Loose to Barca and finish 3rd or 4th in the league?

Then in the summer Cesc leaves and no replacement comes in as we will have Ramsey and Jack.

Will you be happy and satisfied with that?

Lets be honest all of the above could easy happen

This isn’t a dig by the way, I just want to know how positive you are compared to myself.
Mikey my old friend, hope you're well!

See this is exactly my point.......nobody knows what the seasons outcome is going to be until May so what im saying is that i see all of this ''Wenger out'' as being nothing put counter productive at the current time.As it stands were are the only club in all 4 competitions we entered at the start of the season

Im a realist, not a rose tinter.Im not shooting my mouth off saying we're gonna win this and that and i feel people shouldnt be on the opposite train either saying we'll fuck this and that up and win nothing. The fact of the matter is we dont know the outcome so lets reserve judgement till we do.
Spoken like a true Wenger fan. Avoid the direct question haha

I know your not a rose tinter and that you think we are the best and all that bollox.

I just wanted to know if you would have the faith in wenger that show you now, after another season of not winning anything and coming 3rd or 4th..... again.

Would you still think he is the best man if it starts going onto 7 years without any silver

As sad as it makes me, i really dont think we will win anything again this year. Unless he signs a new CB in time but thats a whole new debate.

Sure we can all say that Mikey and pose those questions  !

How bout i ask you are you going to get behind Wenger if we beat Ipswich,Leeds and Barca and say came 1st or second in the league?

and heres the answer to your question Mikey....Yes i will be behind the manager if we win nothing this season, though i do concede that we should win the CC at a minimum.

and i am realist Mikey nothing more nothing less.

If Wenger wins the league I will be proved wrong as he will show myself and the whole world that he can win the league without changing any of his modern post 2006 values.

I will then admit I was wrong to doubt him. I don’t think this will happen though. If it does I would be delighted that such a task can happen in this day and age of football.

1991 yesterday you were busy setting up polls to raise awareness of wanting the manager out and were looking to create a swell of support behind it.That to me is a funny way of showing you dont want him out!!!

Then you were sending the results of said poll to John Cross and Arseblog or whatever.

Today you're quoting media source 1,2,3,4,,twitter et al!
im dizzy from your qouting of this source and that source...all i'll say is dont be influenced by everything you read.

All I want is for Arsene to not feel like he isn't under any pressure and that we want trophies!

Convenient how you ignore the rest of my post too.

Ya cause im sure Arsene Wenger doesnt want to win trophies for Arsenal football club! FFS!! :banghead: :banghead:

The man knows he is under pressure, you dont need to be a genius to see that, just look at the dugout on any matchday.I dont think that fans getting on his back now are going to help the team or club in any shape or form between now and May.Do you?

One thing you have to agree though Jacky, is that Arsene doesn’t make it easy on himself does he?

Why keep playing certain players? Why come out and say “ I am looking for a cbâ€

thats all im saying mikey,no point in getting on his back now-its not going to result in anything positive between now and May as we all know Wenger is not going to be sacked or leave before then.

We know this team is capable, the performances against Man City home and away,Chelsea home have shown that.We need to get some consistency and hopefully we can get some silverware

I think that would be a perfectly valid point. The question is is there anybody running our club who shares your view? Because in fact that is the Board's area of responsibility, no? Are they not his employers and it is not their place to judge his performance and act accordingly?

i know man,i cant dispute your loyalty to following the club and at the end of the day we're all gooners, gooners with different opinions but gooners at the end of the day :barscarf:

.I just feel some of the criticism of the club and manager is a bit OTT at times from some quarters -

I most admit it saddens me a bit to see polls being started by some calling for the managers head and looking to swell support behind it.I feel all of us need to be a bit more realistic and step back and look at the reality of where the club is at,and i dont think its that bad to merit some of the stuff that is being said and called for.

im in the same boat as you with regards my Girlfriend, dunno how she hasnt kicked me to the curb at this stage what with being over at games so much and being involved with a supporters club over here when im not at games! :-P

Fair enough, I still don't agree (yet) but I can see where you're coming from.

I bet nearly everyone's opinions haven't changed because of a win against the worst team in the league.

When did you start supporting Arsenal?

actually nothing has changed after beating a relegation bound club after no wins in three. I thought even you would know that master louder

No, a few days after beginning of the end

This win, although deserved, proves absolutely nothing. We'll see what this team is made of at Leeds on Wednesday.
