Arsene's gone to bed - We aren't making a signing in January

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Wengers said that he "we can cope"
"I focus on my squad and I feel we have 22, 23 outfield players who can cope with what we need.
He admits we're short at Centre back but apparently Squeky and TV5 are "making good progress".
This reminded me of a thought/something I noticed the other day.
We always used to have tons of attacking options in Midfield and atleast have two teams or two players per position.

Take Nasri he normally replaces AA23 or vice versa. The other side of the pitch is Theo and thats it! Okay some of them can play both sides but we only have 3 attacking wide players.

Vela is now off to Brum
Rosicky's gone AWOL but nowadays plays infield.
and recently....Nick B. The worlds greatest winger?

Where's all our attacking wide players gone?!

I imagine there'll be a whole lot more gooners than there currently are, ready to make their discontent known should we fall short due to a lack of strengthening.
Tell the truth you just copied and pasted the same post from 2006/7/8/9/10?

all this thread has proven so far is that frank b is just another bullshit merchant who longs to "be in the know" through his "great contacts"
I must make up a pile of shit for the next window, or maybe seeing as i have very little idea whats happening at AFC, i will not bother posting a pointless thread lest i be thought a WUM

Amazing that our form/results seems to lift up a gear when january comes around.................players trying to show wenger that he dont need new signings maybe ? Wenger is a lucky bastard in so many ways but especially his transfer dealings - he doesnt want to spend now, he rarely wants to spend at any time in truth and has got away with no real backlash from the fans for playing russian roulette with our chances of silverware. This transfer window especially has seen the "middle gound" Gooners pacified/silenced by our results and the continued faltering of our rivals and that has allwoed wenger to sit tight without the pressure to buy and the huddersfield result when only add to that cosyness. By the time the wheels start to fall off (as they usually do) in spring the transfer window will be closed and we will be stuck with a small in numbers squad, small in size, injury prone and over-rated players that wenger will proclaim to be improving and on the verge of greatness  When that time comes I dont really see a fans backlash hlebby.......it hasnt happened before now so why would it change now ? :banghead:

"But I cannot tell you definitely no because if somebody knocks at my door in the morning and says 'I would like to play for you' and he is a good player, I will sign him."

Someone just tweeted that Diarra could be coming back on loan. Would be fantastic news if true. :barscarf:
