And if they had in fact sold Highbury straight nnstead of brrowing another 120 million GBP to redevelop it ourselves away it actually might not have done that at all even.
Yep because Wenger would go out and spend more than 15 million on a player wouldnt he?????

You might be right. I think we may or may not have any influence if we speak up. I know we will have not any influence if we don't try.
At the very least we can influence how this group of Board members is remembered by us and future generations of supporters, and legacies usually matter to these people. Dan Fiszman boasts he built the Emirates Stadium with his bare hands, but we can make sure that isn't what he's remembered, and I suspect that is not what he or his family would like. We can make sure Peter Hill-Wood is the Hill-
I think we have more ammunition than we think. Wehther its as much as we need we will only know if we are willing to use it.

Yes we the undersigned demand that you read this petition about running The Arsenal Football Club by polls via the Gooner forum. We the fans demand greater say in how you run the club. We should be able to pick the teams and tell the board how to run the club.....

Let's assume you are right - then why all the venom directed at the manager? After all if the Board doesn't care what we think how is it the manager's fault that is the case?stg wrote:MutleyGooner wrote:Petitions are the futurekingjayson1 wrote:Theres nothing we can do anyway. I mean you are saying there is no point in questioning the Board which suggests they don't care how we feel about their policies. Is it productive somehow to speew venom at those who are not resposible for those policies then and how so?

It seems that Wenger is philosophically opposed to spending money rather than sacrifice certain squad players. I may not see the players training but I certainly see them play.
When it comes to Attacking players, Wenger is very astute, when it comes to the less glamorous positions, GK, defenders, defensive midfielder's he is not as astute.
Invest in some new players, move on some of the dross, mix it up a little. I think its too comfortable for a lot of players at Arsenal. The need some motivation.
At this stage it almost seems like it's Wenger's pride as much as anything which is the culprit as to why he won't spend any money.

What I don't get is..........
Right from a footballing point of view (not the spurs-hating, Beer-swelling bias See You Next Tuesday I am), Why are they buying more fucking strikers.
To put it into perspective they've just conceded 4 goals against a very negative and average Sparky inspired Fulham team. Kaboul and King are crocked and assou-ekotto is a waste of space as a footballer. Maybe a defender for £38million or 2 would be more benefical.
Or they could just do us a favour and give us £38million for Denilson afterall Barcelona were after him, and he is brazilian.

Unless it is Messi, I doubt our club would even consider £38M on one player, but we are still above Spurs in the league.
