Andy Carroll

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The good thing is we don't have to face him on the weekend

He wouldn't have played anyway as he's currently injured.

Reminds me very much of Duncan Ferguson and I feel that he can only get better, especially learning his trade under Dalglish - if he stays out of trouble, that is.
Wow, what a compliment Hlebby! But “Big Duncâ€

Yes, but now there is a mental aspect to it. Their talisman is gone, the squad will be mentally weaker and depressed by his departure, the fans will no doubt be holding protest banners, it will be a chaotic week or so for the geordies. Will they be able to pick themselves up from his? Carroll for them is like Fabregas for us

I know what you mean and sincerely hope you're right, but it could just as equally galvernize them. You see, I believe less and less in these kind of 'omen' things, especially when one hears about opposition teams having an advantage because they played 24 hours earlier, yet they still go on to beat the opposition with the so called 'advantage'. :banghead:

£35m in the end. Not bad business for N'Castle considering Mike Ashley wanted £80m for the ENTIRE club a little while ago!

One Song , But not a Carol

Post by maddog »

I read on a Newcastle blog yesterday something along the lines" he is a disgrace to Newcastles number 9 shirt" not a Shearer or a Supermac and if in Jan we are offered 6-8m then we should get rid! " This was just after his car was attacked yet again in NE because as he has ongoing issues with certain characters.

He simply isnt worth that kinda wonga tops 10-15m but the Newcastle fanbase, team will be de motivated feeling slightly cheated at moment. I am up there on Saturday and hope they are deflated and we are able to capitalise on that and sneak 3 points. Had 2 poor trips to Sunderland last time up there we won 3 - 1 and predict the same again fingers crossed.
