Wow, what a compliment Hlebby!I Hate Hleb wrote:Back to Carroll. Yes, he's ridiculously over-priced at £35m but I think he could end up being a good signing for them.
Reminds me very much of Duncan Ferguson and I feel that he can only get better, especially learning his trade under Dalglish - if he stays out of trouble, that is.![]()

Yes, but now there is a mental aspect to it. Their talisman is gone, the squad will be mentally weaker and depressed by his departure, the fans will no doubt be holding protest banners, it will be a chaotic week or so for the geordies. Will they be able to pick themselves up from his? Carroll for them is like Fabregas for usI Hate Hleb wrote:He wouldn't have played anyway as he's currently injured.

I know what you mean and sincerely hope you're right, but it could just as equally galvernize them. You see, I believe less and less in these kind of 'omen' things, especially when one hears about opposition teams having an advantage because they played 24 hours earlier, yet they still go on to beat the opposition with the so called 'advantage'.Iceman29 wrote:Yes, but now there is a mental aspect to it. Er...NO!!!

Re: Andy Carroll
£35m in the end. Not bad business for N'Castle considering Mike Ashley wanted £80m for the ENTIRE club a little while ago!Eboue-Why? wrote:The world has finally gone mad. The Scousers have bid 30m quid.....yep you heard me!!!!!

One Song , But not a Carol
I read on a Newcastle blog yesterday something along the lines" he is a disgrace to Newcastles number 9 shirt" not a Shearer or a Supermac and if in Jan we are offered 6-8m then we should get rid! " This was just after his car was attacked yet again in NE because as he has ongoing issues with certain characters.
He simply isnt worth that kinda wonga tops 10-15m but the Newcastle fanbase, team will be de motivated feeling slightly cheated at moment. I am up there on Saturday and hope they are deflated and we are able to capitalise on that and sneak 3 points. Had 2 poor trips to Sunderland last time up there we won 3 - 1 and predict the same again fingers crossed.
