Paul Davies against Aston Villa in the run in to winning the title in 1991...not sure if its available on youtube...great goal in a 5-0 win...future Arsenal player David Platt ended the game in goal for Villa, but only conceded one of the five.

come on peeps it was a great goal as much as i hate to have to admit it.

And as for it coming off his shin if you a discrediting because of that then rvp's goal against charlton was a bit of a fluke as well.

it was a spectacular finish, ADE vs Villa Real was as good and that was a vital goal in the CL

imo RVP's first strike was technically as good if not better though when you think it was on his weak side, very few people can do what he did there, and he does it to much to be a fluke.

great goal, added to the occasion and his shit form etc, definite fifa 2012 celebration too, all looked kind of iconic like the beckham free kick vs greece. both at the theatre of dickheads too.

don't let your hate for the fat *word censored* and the media wankfest cloud over the fact that it was probably goal of the season.

cross, first touch BANG top corner, tidy. we'll be seeing these replays for the next 50 years or so, all over those crap sport award show things etc. prob be in next years motd intro too.

The only consalation about Shrek's goal was because of the lack of a scoreboard at Old Trafford none of the Mancs got to see a replay of it !

no one is doubting the quality of the goal, but i coulght a few minutes of SSN this evening and they were going on like an overhead kick had never been scored in the history of the game
