Pubs for Sunday

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

As long as it hasnt been taken over by zulus me and a few mates will be going to The Globe at Baker St as we all have to change to Jubilee/Metropolitan line there.

Should be in there from around 11 if anybody wants to join us.

its up to you mate, but reckon the globe will be a zulu zone

think they can get direct trains to paddington/marylebourne ,

so that pub suits em

west hampstead on the north london line is more likely to be a gooner area

We're having something to eat and drink in a mates house in Watford and then getting tube to Wembley....much cheaper :D !

PS for anyone who hasn't been to Wembley for a while then don't touch the burger places on Wembley Way or stadium catering - fecking rip off. Better to top off your pre-match pint with a visit to Macdonalds which is on the right hand side, near the shops.

Didn't get a ticket for the final, but a good watering hole is The Sportsbar at Marylebone Station. We have met Paul Merson in there, and it is also a favoured watering hole of Alan(Talkshite) Brazil,so if you want to tell him to go fuck himself in person you could be in luck. Pretty sure that you can also get to Wembley from the station. So,I hope you all have a GREAT day!

Anybody know of we have The Torch at Wembley park? Assuming if Brum have the Green Man then this will be an Arsenal pub for the day?

Anybody happen to know if the Twelve Pins still has tickets (and/or if they'll be available on the day)?

The Walkabout sounds okay, but am slightly dubious at the prospect of there being Birmingham City or non-Arsenal fans there (what with it being open to the general public).

I remember the for the CC Final against Chelski you could just turn up a couple of hours before kick off at the Pins and get in.

I won't be going near the place though, its jinxed.

Thanks for the info. Guess I'll give it a try, always the Walkabout to fall back on.

I've seen us lose more games in the Twelve Pins than I care to remember (although the 2-0 reverse at Man Utd in October 2004 and the CL final spring to mind), but it can't continue forever - can it?

Thought I would send you our best wishes from Birmingham’s premier club. We trust you don’t need any luck . Small Heath have been around for over 100 years and never won a major trophy don’t let us down :barscarf:

What about The Arsenal Tavern? Should be a good atmosphere there,it has got several screens,(including a big one in the back bar),the beer is ok,and the food is not bad.

Never actually been there before, but just Google'd it and I've definitely been past it many times. Is it likely to be ticketed as well? Thanks for the tip.
