Arsenal Players that you've met

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

When I used to work at Highbury I "met" nearly all the players who played for us from 1999 to 2002. As my job didn't allow for me running up to them for a photo I only really got to speak to and shake hands with a few. My all time fave being Ray Parlour, the only player to have a drink after the game in the Box Holders Bar along with bizarrely Shovel from M-People. And my Mrs at the time swears that as he was leaving one night he winked at her as he got in the lift. I didn't mind, for 2 tickets he could have had her!

Met David Seaman a long time ago, when i was about 10 in a sports shop. Nice guy and shook his incredibly large hands (i suppose they would be compared to a 10 year old).

Also, met Gael Clichy few years back in Nando's in Enfield Town. Was around the time he was out injured for a while. Very friendly guy, gave me an autograph and got a picture with him.

We've had Perry Groves, Charlie George, Terry Neill and Sammy Nelson down for our annual supporters club dinner - Perry came back to one of our locals after for a night on the booze, fabulous.

Ian Wright and Tony Adams at their book signings - both were great. I told Ian i loved him and he wrote 'love you too' in my book!

Merson (nice guy), Bould, Seaman, Keown and John Hartson at some charity day i dragged my family to.

Petit, Viera, Parlour, Dixon and Winterburn from the pitch sidelines during warm up. Most players from the mid-late 90s really with the exception of Bergkamp sadly.

Er Glenn Helder and other reserves during a pre-season friendly against Bromley.

Tried to meet Ian Wright several times as a kid since he and myself were based in South East London (my brother played school footie against SWP). I once queued all morning outside KFC in croydon because he was due to open it and he never turned up...

Met AW in the street in Canary Wharf couple years ago nice guy forgot i had camera phone till he had gone which pissed me off.
Met R Parlour in pub round corner from Highbury it was about 10 mins after final whistle and he had pint of larger in his hand. But nice guy and signed my programme.
Met Paul Davis in airport after R Madris away game he signed my ticket.
Met whole team B4 game at Dell boxing day 1989 only guy who had time to talk to me and was nice was Kevin Richardson. David O'leary signed his book was cold. But of all the players to sign my book the fact Rocky signed it is special.

Gary Lewin cooked me Sunday dinner!!!

I was going out with his sister-in-law at the time. He dropped the beef getting it out of the oven so cue the "no wonder you didn't make it as a goalkeeper" jokes.

Also worked at the club for a while in the mid 80's and got to know a few of the young players quite well, as we were all about the same age. (Rocky, Niall Quinn, Micky Thomas, Paul Davis)

Not being picky but the title of this is 'Arsenal Players you've met', not c**ts you've run into!!! Teddy Sheringham ruined a holiday of mine once in the caribbean, every restaurant and bar i went into for 2 weeks, he bloody turned up - we were all laughing after it had happened a few times but i did want to punch him, he'll always be Tottenham scum.
