As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

That is the amount of seats sold, regardless if anyone turns up to sit in them.
It has to be published for tax reasons.
20 years ago clubs would publish an attendance figure below the real one, to avoid paying tax on all the receipts, so the taxman clamped down on it.
Is there one thing you find reason not to defend the Board? Just one serious thing? Or am I actually right about your complete lack of objectivity?
Come on fella, you're fishing for an argument - I can see it a mile off if you disagree with him, then put your opinion across - but snide remarks like yours aren't necessary.
That said, I can't really see why the taxman would give a shit what is announced over the tannoy, as long as the books are in order, surely?
Not that I care what attendance they announce... couldn't care less to be honest. We all know it's based on ticket sales and not the actual attendance, so even though I find it a bit daft, I'm not going to use it as a stick to beat the club with.
You obviously dont care about the club if thats your attitude

Actually I'm not fishing for an argument at all - I think it's clear that Quartz is incapable of objectively addressing anything the Board does.
I think as I said before for some Gooners the Arsenal W@ay is more imporatnt than Arsenal itself.
The difference with Quartz and some others is that the Board are the living embodiment of the way he has such strong faith in and thus to question them is to question everything he believes there in it's more important to protect the Board because it is protecting his faith in what Arsenal stand for.
There's no argument to be had at this point about Quartz being objective about the Board in any istance. He is not and cannot and will not be capable of objectively analyzxing anything they do.
