Bendtner could be the key

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

This game is Bendtner's chance to put his money where his mouth is, simple as that. We'll see how "world class" he is on Tuesday. But if he plays on the right wing, I think we're in trouble, his dribbling and passing aren't great and his best attribute is his header from the centre.

Seriously sid ?? Chamakh has done and shown more in his first season, and remember it is his first season in england, than bendtner has done in the last 3 or 4 seasons combined

Agree.

Chamakh is in a dip in form, possibly combination of fatigue from adjustment to Premier League physical level, and (alleged) four-in-a-bed romp blackmail plot?
He has limitations, notably an over reliance on one touch football with his back to goal.

That said, he is a bustling ballsy centre forward with a better touch than Bendtner and respectable goal tally.

Would not consider selling him, but I would gladly see Bendtner replaced this summer.

Is this the same Bendtner that last season in the absense of our strikers went on a scoring run and secured us champions league football?

That's because he's a confidence player. Give him a run of games and he tends to hit form. Either that or the fact his self-confidence doesn't match his ability as a player.

He is the most confident man in the whole world. :barscarf:

His psychological profile shows he is one of the ten most confident men to ever have lived. :o

Thing is, his ability does not match his confidence.

I think Barry gets far too much stick on this forum.

I think most of it is down to the fact that he is so big headed but as a squad player he is not that bad! He goals to minutes on the pitch ratio must be quite good it is just his terrible touch that gtes noticed.

I wouldn't want to lose him as a squad player, Denilson on the other hand :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
