ok, nope. Bye!
We will be about at the Vine pub i think! 15min walk from ground
In Blk A3,rowNN for this one. Probably quite far at the back.
Was right behind the goal 2 yrs ago when we got a 3-1 but got soaked as it p'eed with rain.
Same result and being dry will be nice.
For those of us being subjected to the joys of train travel and who don't fancy jay-walking along the motorway to get to the Vine what pub/bar/strip joint/place of ill repute are we getting thrown out of on Saturday then and please a better choice than the Sports bar in Manc stn.
That was crap, like most Sports bars unless there's a game on that we're all watching or it's packed they're rubbish

I like the sound of the Vine just sounds a bit awkward to get to if you're not driving.

End of the day The Arkles is a treck from Liverpool train station.
Has anyone been the Vine before that know for certain what is the best away pub?

I think my plan is to go by train and head to Wetherspoons to start with and then head into the ground via Moor Street, it's probably the best option for all those who are travelling by train. Mikey I probably will meet you inside.
And topgoon is the Wetherspoons you're talking about called the Square Peg? Or is it Briar Rose?

I think it was the Briar rose. Looked fairly neutral there were a few gooners and Wolves fans when we were in there and the bouncers didn't seem too bothered. Then again twas a week dayAA23Northbank wrote:I think my plan is to go by train and head to Wetherspoons to start with and then head into the ground via Moor Street, it's probably the best option for all those who are travelling by train. There's one called The Square Peg which is up the road from New Street and very near Moor Street where you get the train to The Hawthornstopgoon wrote:I think it was the Briar rose. Got a railcard? You can get a return from London to The Hawthorns for less than £20 if you know where to look on thetrainlineGooner_Sam wrote:I'd usually do that mate but coach is only £20AA23Northbank wrote:Think you should be ok, why don't you take the train, better atmosphere, better laugh mate!Gooner_Sam wrote:I've got a ticket for this, does anyone know if I can book a coach despite only being a red member?Barcelona really hit the old wallet, shouldn't be really going to WBA but it's hard to say no

Put in London to The Hawthorns with the date, time, railcard info etc. Then when it brings up the results, click on "Show Prices" then "click here for slower trains" at the bottom of the page. £11.55 return from Euston plus a few other options on there
