As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Maybe it should be a little cheaper, but until I've seen how much Chelsea, Sp*rs, etc. charge for home friendlies, it's difficult to know if we're being ripped off or not.
Does anyone know what our rivals charge for similar events? - how about the Amsterdam tournament?
I seem to remeber the amsterdam tournamount being about £26 a day mate, and the Wembley cup the cheapest day ticket was £29 and went up to £59!!
Based on that, it would appear we're competitively priced.
That said, I won't be attending because the opposition are uninspiring to say the least! PSG? NY Red Bulls? - only Boca are of interest and even then, I could take it or leave it. I was hoping Real Madrid or Barca would attend; oh well.

Henry's a legend, so it's always nice to see him back at the Arsenal.
Also, we're in a tournament with PSG, NY Red Bulls and Boca Juniors - so, apart from Henry and ticket prices, there's not a great deal to talk about!
Personally, the only redeeming feature of this disappointing lineup is Boca Juniors. I have no idea if they're still a major force, but they are an unknown, and one with a great tradition and history behind them, so hopefully they'll bring along some good football, telented young players and an inspired Riquelme.

Rosie-titters is right, and he couldn't get away quick enough to feather his nest. The last LOYAL player we had at Arsenal was Dennis Bergkamp. The rest ,including Henry, talk the talk, but don't walk the walk. And before you say it,yes ,Henry did do great things for us,but he was paid very well for doing so,and fucked off when it suited him, saying if I remember correctly, that he,"hated England and all things English."

Henry left to join a better club where there was no Eboue Denilson and Diaby but Messi Iniesta Xavi and Etto.To win a trophy he had would never win at Arsenal the CL. He saw the future and left just like PV4 and like Cesc will

Henry did say that in an interview after he left,(granted he had just split from his English wife). Also,I don't go in for the total hero worship of players.99% of them are just badge kissing mercenaries, who don't care about the clubs that they play for.I would never try to get autographs from them,or photographs with them,as it just feeds their egos, and I have never put a players name on a shirt.I support the CLUB,not individual players.I cheer them on at every game I attend, but I don't have any illusions about most of their loyalties. There are exceptions of course.....Bergkamp,Charlie George,Sansom,Wrighty and hopefully Wilshire, and I also think Pires was treated shabbily.
You love the emirates cup really! It's another thing to moan about
End of the day it's a bit of fun which genrates money for the club ( the swines!!) and gives mostly kids and families the chance to watch football all sat together for a reasonable price by modern football prices!
