It's classic, isn't it? Arsenal announce a new Arsenal player on the same day as a ticket price increase. You can't say fairer than that!

Considered not renewing - not because we didn't win anything coz only one team can win the 4 comps we enter each year - its the lack of effort, bottle, desire, urgency, motivation, will to win, hunger, team spirit, tactics, togetherness,loyalty, pride,mental strength, resilience and HEART.

But have waited too long not to renew - so I will be renewing coz hopefully one day we'll get some of the above back and I can start enjoying games regardless of whether we win trophies.

Yes the last few years have been the most frustrating. The early years had little or no expectation, cheaper tickets, more affinity with the players, more of a 'family' feel at every game and a better atmosphere. You could have a great time even if the football was shite. I can't remember leaving the Emirates very often thinking "I fucking LOVED that"!

The last few years we all know we've been fairly close to being a top top team but mis-management has cost us - that is the most frustrating thing of all. Throw in ridiculous contract improvements and extensions for under achieving, over-pampered, bit part players, a negligent, lying manager and a board who want to line their pockets before success on the field........sorry mate, I think I've got it spot on.
It's just not Arsenal Football Club any more.

What happens to those who choose not to renew their season tickets yet have money owed to them through sales on the ticket exchange?

I assume the club would reimburse you the total owed? however I have never actually seen that in writing.

Be great if someone could confirm what happens.

When you sell tickets on the exchange I'm pretty sure (correct me if wrong though) that you can only have the amount you sold taken off the price of the next years ticket, nothing else. Hardly suprising from this club though

I have supported the Arsenal since 1968 and had a ST a lot of that time, but sadly I can't afford to keep my two - upper tier corner, above the singing section. Â£1225 each last time. Might rent them rather than give them up, if I can find someone suitable

this isn't the club i fell in love with back in 79, and spent many a happy and sad times at Highbury

i will always follow my club, but am now resign, to only being able to go to the odd match

one thing i would support and contribute to is if fellow supporters, club together and got a grass roots Arsenal team of the ground, just like AFC Wimbledon and the FC United of Manchester team did -

bringing local football run by the fans back to Highbury / Islington

An unfortunate sign of the times, prices going up in every profession, nightmare for all envolved but im in a fortunate enough position to be able to afford the roughly Â£60 increase for me for next season, an extra Â£2 something a game.

My only hassle with buying a silver is when I had one before getting offered a season ticket for the start of 09/10 season is having no chance for cup finals and cup semis.

From 1997-2009 I had a silver member/junior gunner membership and used to do a good most of the home and away games from around 2001 and can tell you that there is nothing more frustrating than going up and down the country and not having a sniff for these tickets.

A lot of cup final tickets I got off touts etc and missed out completely on Paris 06, Liverpool 2001, Spurs in the FA Cup Semi of 2001 and Newcastle 1998.

TITD - Silver isn't necessarily that different from a season ticket to be honest! With allocations to finals being so small these days because of the corporates, you're nowhere near guaranteed a ticket, even with a ST, so maybe you're better off being silver, picking and choosing your games, then trying for a final ticket off a tout? You may have to do the same as a ST holder.
