If Fabregas stays then he has to keep the armband whether we think he's captain material or not

If he goes it has to be Verminator.....we need to make sure the guy plays the last 2 games and has a decent pre-season without breaking down though.

Of course he's going to play before the end of the season...Wenger wants to remind us all why we don't have to buy any defenders!

Why is it highly likey cesc is leaving this summer?
Who's going to pay for him? - Bankrupt barca?

He's Real Madrid bound for £45 million...the 'injury' he has is an Almunia non-existent one, just in case he gets one and it scuppers the deal.

Fast forward to August 31 and I quote

"The answer is not always to buy. We have many internal options in that position. Koscielny and Djourou are more mature now, Vermaelen and Squillaci have played many times in big international matches, plus we have Bartley and Miquel too. If you analyse last season we had only lost two away matches until the very end of the season. We were also very unlucky with injuries too. It is too simple to criticise the defenders and I believe we only lost in "special circumstances" in the Carling Cup final"

BLAH BLAH FUCKING BLAH :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I've heard it all before and I swear I'll hear it all again every Summer for the next 3 years minimum. Bullshit bingo card is in the hand and I'm ready to play the game again starting on June 1st and ending 31st August

TV5 for me. As others have said he's the closest we have to a natural leader and he always gives everything in matches.

Having said that, he's been out for a whole season so he'll likely have a lot of niggly injuries next season too.

On a side note, what is with all this cesc to Real shit? Why in a million years would Cesc, a catalan born and bred, go to their arch rivals? The stories about Real are ridiculous.

Having said that, if they're willing to pay £25-30 plus Benzema or Higuain then I'd be willing to discuss

If he was to go this summer I'd love it if he went to Real. It'd be a nice :finger: to the Catalans

Was TV the Ajax captain when we signed him? All the qualities of a great leader, and with Sczczesny behind him our defensive unit suddenly becomes 100 times meaner.

Last season when Cesc was injured Almunia was captain even though Vermaelen and RVP were playing......... Thats from the man who apparently knows  im guessing the board made him do it

Vermaelen should be captain (if he ever regains his fitness) but knowing Wenger Almunia will be made captain when we sell Cesc for £4.99 in the summer

Vermaelen.
But will he be fit?

So maybe RvP as backup.
But will he be fit?

So how about battler Wilshere?
But will he lose his rag?

No obvious candidate really.

I went for Wilshire soley on him being the only one to show real passion, but I know he doesnt have the experience, so really dint know. TV5 would be in but fitness is a doubt.
