The who's giving up their season ticket thread?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

We're giving up 2. My dad was a bit choaked when he didn't renew, as he's been a ST holder since the mid 70's but we've both seen the same tape 6 years in a row, it's an expensive torture now.

It's not us being fairweather, it's just so past the point of frustration and predictability that I'm actually bored of the Arsenal! It's not the fact that we don't win things, any team or sportsman can have that, sport is like that. It's more the fact that what we need is so glaringly obvious to us, as the EXACT same mistakes keep happening on queue, year in year out. If he plugged the defence and bought a goalie, a striker and a decent defensive mid, and still didn't win things, I'd be more than happy to go!

Wenger is taking the piss though, so why should I go! Silver membership for me, 7 or so home games next year, and a couple of away days. More beer money in my pocket for when we are 7 points clear and then go on a run on 6 straight draws to be told we're still on an unbeaten run until Chavski, ManUre or Citeh put us to the sword in Feb-April time, and we get fed the same 'this team are only 23' excuse...lovely :(

Reiterating what SteveO mentioned, its so obvious we need a strong CB and a better DM. After YEARS of frustration with the keeper situation, it was only pot luck that we have an ALRIGHT keeper now.
Something needs to be done, its a shame so many life long Gooners are having to give up their season ticket :(
Only a couple of years I couldn't get hold of a season ticket, now i'm getting offers left right and centre.
On a more selfish note, in a 'hollow victory' way, hordes of people leaving means I'm getting closer to getting a ST.

I hope they'll be big changes this season.

The waiting list will make interesting reading next year, wouldn't be suprised if it moved up twice as much as last years number.

Is there anyone that could share the tickets at all?
A mate of mine uses his other ticket with his 3 other brothers and they do a draw for the games during the season. Makes it more manageable. Worth a look before you give it up surely.

I was a seascon ticket holders during the days of Terraces, the first one cost me £ 80.00. Nowdays thats just one or two games at most. :banghead:

I a'int been in the spacebowl for years. I did enjoy watching the youth team, local working class fans and a decend atmosphere :barscarf:

Top Post by Steve 035, alot of my mates who still have season tickets either rent them or just them up. Money and Jobs are tight thesedays. :(

People need to ask themselves if they really can not afford it why give your hard earned money to Arsenal PLC who seek to maximise profit at every turn

I watch The Arsenal in the Boozer and do the odd away game and Euro Away

Have given up 1 ticket, and requested a move from Upper to Lower Tier for the other. If Arsenal deny the move, then I will be a Season Ticket holder no longer......
Both tickets had 45+ credits as well.

A sad day in the Butcher household.

I'm going for silver rather than renting mine out now. I really don't want it whilst Wenger is there. In the next two years, Arsenal are heading for a big shock with Wenger continuing to buy cheap, rubbish French players. Once we're out of the CL qualification place, probably next season, you'll see the club panic then.
