It's a done deal. Anyone who believes the bullshit line from the club that Cesc has had a "thigh strain" for the past 3 weeks needs to up their medication ASAP.
Well, regardless of whether you believe he is injured or not is irrelevant, he may well be but I do believe with you and sid that he is off and the deal is done.

Its disrespectful to not be at the game yesterday, should have shown some class but maybe the players
have lost respect for the man in charge.

Certainly looks that way, what with Cesc at a gp and the two total incompetents like bendtner and denilson speaking out against the only top 4 manager and team that would give them playing time in the first place

Come come. I don't think those three captians you mention above are exactly standard bearers of what anyone should expect from the captain of their football team.

Terry hawking around tour of his clubs facilities for brown bags of cash. Knobbing the mother of his team mates child.

Gerrard beating up people in bars and himself coming very very close to abandoning his beloved Liverpool and signing for another club a few years back.

Vidic last summer scaring up transer rumours to earn a bigger contract with Man Utd.

I don't give fuck where Fabregas was yesterday, the team checked out mentally a good few weeks ago. There may have been 11 players on the pitch in body these last few games but fucking hell they've been going through the motions.

Each and everyone needs to be accountable, Fabreags included.

But the day I start looking at those 3 as the kind of people I want to be comparing an Arsenal captain to, is the day I want a size 5 Mitre Delta shoved up my arse.

Interesting that only Tommy V of the "Tweeting Twitter Twats" as I like to call them has said anything since the sesone finale.

Now stay off it you spineless C.U.N.T.S.

Mmmmm........those 3 compare to one of our best ever captains then ;) drink driving, piss head but still loved the club and definitely wouldn't have been at a gp on our last game (the pub maybe:)).

Cesc is not squeeky clean, he hawked himself around last season which is not exactly an endearing character either.

I personally don't give a fuck if they're shagging their own mum as long as they give they're fucking all on the pitch which I don't think cesc did this year even taking into consideration his injuries etc.

But when he goes we have to get an equally good replacement cos we do miss his guile when fit and firing on all cylinders.

Well exactly. If I was holding Adams up as a captain of morality it would only be from a certain point in his career post rehab when he literally was a shining light. Pre that point yeah probably wouldn’t be someone I’d hold forth as an example of how you should be. Although being sent to jail for crashing into a wall is fucking harsh and I doubt it would happen today.

I’m not defending Fabregas as our captain merely pointing the other 3 to be as bad if not worse. Although out of the 3 Vidic is the least worst and probably most comparable to Fabregas.

As captain’s I do care a lot about what they do on and off the pitch. I find the position of captain something kind of sacred. Even as a kid when I was captaining my school football team it was something to be proud of and something that a lot of people looked up to you for. Even those not involved in the team.

But saying that I have very little respect for any footballers these days, let alone captains

Fabregas probably didn’t have his best year but after 6 odd years of consistent performances he earned a lot of credit from me. A lot more than anyone else in the team. And I’m more willing to give it to him even if he should have been at Fulham on the weekend. Frankly there are many more pressing concerns I can see need addressing than Fabregas going to a Grand Prix on the last day of the season. As I said before the rest of the team have been AWOL for a good 6 weeks.

We won’t find an equally good replacement. One doesn’t exist within the squad and although there is likely one playing for another team, nothing is going to be done to attempt to sign him.

When Fabregas does go this summer, we’ll be royally fucked and the final game of a season in which fuck all could have been achieved with or without him, is going to mean nothing.

Holly shit,, :x

Well can't wait for all the transfer action this summer. I would expect we'll loose at best 2 players.

I would go for TV5 as Capt next season, regardless of who stays or goes.

:o

Not sure what Cesc being at Fulham would have achieved exactly? He probably can't bare to watch that shower of shit either, I don't blame him.

Whether Cesc stays or goes to me is irrelevant, the Club has lost its killer instinct and the players themselves know and so do the opposition.
And hearing Johan and Song saying that "We are so close and next year we will be closer" is nothing short of backing your paymasters and keeping them sweet when ya come upo short.
The ruthless streak is nowhere in our club, just a little too comfy for my liking.
Starting at the top.

Yea silly thing for Cesc to do... It would have been totally irrelevant whether he was there or not with regards the result or the performance, but if only for appearances sake he should have been there. It's not much to ask that someone who is getting paid a 100k a week can at least turn up at the game to support his team mates when he is not contributing anything else...

Beyond the issue of the choice Cesc made i think you have to look at the manager and ask why he thought it was acceptable, i think it's just another example of the lax, pressure free environment that Wenger has created for his players, which has heavily contributed to the lack of character they show on the pitch...

It's not like Cesc to be so lacking in awareness to how this would be perceived, so i think it may be another sign that we won't be seeing him again, maybe that's why he doesn't care how it looks...
