Nasri Contract situation

Fair one, don't really know much about the guy just jumped out at me on twatter.

For what it's worth I think he'll stay but it'll be a long drawn out process which will somewhat tarnish his reputation with fans as a result :(
That Spiro guy is right. Nasri did say that this morning on french tv show "Telefoot". He doesn't really sound like he wants to stay...

One good half of a season and he's already so far up his own arse!!! Let the fucker go and replace him with Gervinho who's at least as good as Samir!

Is it just me thats more worried about losing one of the few decent songs we've actually got! Fuck nasri, we all know he'll go and be replaced with one of the backyardigans but we can ill afford to lose one of the songs actually worth singing

So by your reckoning

1. Can't sing it cos he'll be injured half the season
2. Won't sing it cos he's a lazy twat
3. Can't sing it cos his loan has ended so returning to barca
4. Are you kidding

Next.

Completely agree with you!
Latest rumours in the papers are that Arsene cut his holidays short to oversee the sales of Arshavin, Fabregas and Nasri.
Surely the same people urging Arsene to " spend the fvcking money" to buy players (25 for Cahill??) should support a salary increase for keeping Nasri.
It's not in losing our best players that we'll increase our chances to win silverware next year...
And about Young... I don't think he's as good as Nasri.
Yes Samir had a dip of form towards the end of the season but I blame that on poor squad rotation. I think Samir is world class and only getting better and better, we should do anything to keep him.

Totally agree with the previous poster, one good season (or half a season in Nasri's case) does not make you deserving of being the top earner in the squad.
There is no issue in paying top class players 100k a week (as Nasri is probably being offered anyway), the real damage is paying Barry B, Roshitsky, Denilshit etc £50k+ a week.......disgraceful.
100% in agreement with everything there.

Have we all forgotten how SN always went missing at away games, how erratic his brilliance has been in 3 seasons and then is playing to his best when it's the penultimate year of his contract.

I know he's had a good pre-season and been relatively injury free but how can it take him 3 years to be consistent. It's also not the first time that Cesc has been out, yet in other seasons SN did not shine in his absence...till the penultimate year of his contract. :?

If he does stay it will be worth remembering that what he's been "misquoted" as saying is not much different from what Greedy said a couple of seasons ago and he got booed there after.

Nasri has had one half decent season since he arrived in 2008. The rest of his time with us has been spent showing flashes of what he can do.

Does this warrant him getting a contract to put him on a par with Cesc Fabregas on the payroll? I don't think it does.

The reason he hasn't yet signed a deal is down to pound-notes. Arsene Wenger said so the other week.

If this is the case then in my opinion the club cannot be held to ransom by Nasri, his agent or international kidnappers.

Of course I want him to stay, but nobody is bigger than the club. Especially a player who been here three years and has only performed for six months of that time.

That may sound harsh, but I think it is fair.

He should show a bit of loyalty to the club, Gooners and Wenger and not talk about other clubs like Manchester United because opinion on him will change.

If he doesn't sign a deal then fair enough, leave. He'll find the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

But don't disrespect by hinting about other clubs. Or you will go from a hero to a hate figure in no time Samir

Nobody is bigger than the club, but how big will the club be once it sells all its quality players?
