what like theo the clueless???? missing in action yet again????....wot a surprise!!!....biggest load of hype bollocks player ever...has absolutely no idea on how to go past a defender with skill/technique...because he has zero!!! ZERO!!!...pack in AFC and do the olympics...good at running fuck all else...how much did wenger pay for him 12/15M????

would love to do a swap for scott sinclair, he pisses all over this faker
Scott Sinclair is aload of hype. There is a reason Walcott plays for Arsenal and England and Sinclair failed to make the grade at both Chelsea and Wigan Athletic.

He scored a couple of goals in the Championship, and two penalties and a tap in the play offs, next thing you know he's suddenly top class... :banghead:

He's no better than Jermaine Pennant or Bentley. Lots of flair, not cut out for top level.

Crouch has just said that he will not play for England again while Copello is manager!!!
Two points:- He wasn't picking you anyway you moron!!!
That decision doesn't make you any different from the rest of them, as none of them seem to play for him anyway!!!

yeah, he plays for Arsenal & England....for that reason neither will win anything with him and rubbish like him...how long now at AFC??? whats he done???? sweet fa!!!...wenger spent a lot on walcott and thats the reason he plays him...from what i've seen sinclair has speed, dribbling/ball skills (both feet!!!) can shoot on target!!! and take half chances...he's a footballer!!!...not saying he the best out there....its obvious walcott has no flair will never cut it.

He paid £9.5million for Walcott, would reserve judgement on Sinclair till he's gone past better defenders than championship fodder.

Not a Walcott fan but the problem with him is the same problem with Barry, neither of them are nor ever will be wingers.

England are struggling to qualify from one of the easiest groups ever. We were lucky Montenegro only drew on Saturday or things would be even worse. Meanwhile, Germany and Spain have won all of their qualifying games so far.

Quite right, couldn't give a flying.

For quite a few years I've supported the other half of my nationality, Northern Ireland.

No expectations with them.

We were terrible, but didnt expect any better.

Parker stunk out midfield. The guy was so slow and cumbersome, ill pass on him.

Poor Theo was lost.

Outpassed by the swiss..can add that to the list of teams who have outpassed us, belarus, egypt, mexico, france all at wembley.

The coaching stinks.

Not sure that the coaching really does stink. Capello is/was a brilliant trainer, it's just he hasn't got the resources, and the England 'team' is not a team. Too many 'superstars', too many distinctly average players with a big name, and no real desire to play for their country.

The Swiss have got a brilliant coach in Hitzfeld, who has made the most out of pretty poor resources. The Swiss lost their two best strikers before this game, Frei and Streller, and have never really had great players, but they play as a team.

They showed it when they beat Spain in the World Cup, and whatever the excuses made by England ( long season, blah, blah , players missing ) they were better than England and had more desire to win. A very sad state of affairs for England.

P.S. Theo wasn't 'lost', he is shite. IMO.

Im not blaming capello like the media, im talking how english players even the more talented ones like Rooney, Gerrard, Lampard were coached throughout their careers.

We are nowhere near the technique of the spanish or brazilians, argentines, but even our technically better players cant pass the ball for s1ht. They were never coached to make short passes, to cherish the ball, it was boot the bastard up the pitch. Thats why teams like Egypt and Mexico who may not have as established players can just pass the ball round us in our own stadium while our 'world class players' watch in awe.

Coaching for me is about when they started out as kids through their teens. Remember when Hargreves burst on the scene, gave us a calmness on the ball, why because he didnt play in the PL with its 100mph style.

Agree totally.

Sorry, misunderstood your original post. Couldn't believe you were blaming Capello.

Capello has done OK* in his career when he's had good players.

*a bit of an understatement.

I think it was our Canuck friend earlier in the thread that touched on one of the main problems with Engerland; the players not complimenting each other or the system but being selected on reputation/fame at club level. It's an old Engerland problem I think. How many times have players been picked no matter how off form or under performing they were, all because of who they were?

A manager should not be afraid to drop big names if they are strolling it and not bothering or are going through a poor spell of form. He should also determine a system that is effective and select players that thrive in that system, whether they are big names or not.

The mostly anonymous Lampolard is the perfect example. He's poor at the moment and offers little to that team but they won't drop him because it might upset wankers like Terry, Piglips, Grannyrapist and the Mobile Phone Addict.

Wilshere pissed all over him on Saturday. 8)

I agree with much of that tbh. We have found this out since B£nt decided to snivel his way off- Capello has come out and said that a move to Villa has helped his international chances, and B£nt has said in a press conference that Capello told him to leave us and go to Villa, Capello has even come out and said that the *word censored* is a better player since he left. How the fuck could he be a better player? He's the exact same player he has always been, but that doesn't matter to Capello and everyone in the England set up. They are, and always have been, totally biased against the "unfashionable" sides. Capello hasnt been to Sunderland for 20 months, so only sees our players in away games where we often struggle, how the fuck can he expect to get a true knowledge of who is good and who isnt when us (and Newcastle) are never watched at home? Fact is he hardly needs to go and watch Chelsea/ Arsenal/ Man United, he knows perfectly well what Cole/ Wilshere/ Rooney can do, so why is he not paying more attention to the other clubs

This is where England struggle, if you are an overrated plodder like Lescott or Milner, you'll be in every time, if you do a great job for Sunderland you'll be overlooked, or given the odd chance in a joke friendly (as Henderson, who will end up at least nearly as good as Wilshere, was). Its all geared towards the big clubs, and the "big name players" who are the only sides/ players that Capello can be arsed to go and watch for his £6m a year and its a fucking joke.

I love the national team and will always support them, but its no surprise that many fans feel totally disconnected from them nowadays.

My other concern is with how much the players genuinely want to play for the country nowadays. The amount of drop outs when friendlies are played is a joke, and many of the players are already in the more prestigious Champions League. Whatever people say, I dont think the players really care, the ever increasing number of treacherous *word censored* who "retire" from international football because they cant be arsed is the tip of the iceberg. I am absolutely convinced that a lot of players only want to be in the England set up because it gives their image a boost and leads to more lucrative sponsorship deals. Players are arseholes nowadays, not a drip of loyalty or pride amongst them.
